This is a good plan by Kimbo's people so far, but I look forward to the day when he steps up to the wrong opponent and gets laid ****ing flat.
I've got no ill-will at all towards Kimbo, he doesn't seem to claim to be anything hes not, he works hard from all accounts, knows his place as it relates to MMA skill level, and seems geniuenly interested in the sport. Good for him I say.
I think its his 33rd birthday. Actually I'm not even sure it is his birthday, it says his birthday is Febuary the 8th on Wikipedia, but theres a thread started today on Sherdog saying that its today. ****, you'd think after entering a legitimate organization and being trained at Randy Coutures gym by a credible team of Bas Rutten and Shawn Thompkins we'd know more about him!
Just for the record it appears Tank is training somewhat...he had an interview and he was down to about 260 which is very good since his last fight he was almost 300. This shows he is taking this seriously and should put up a good fight. So instead of gassing in the first minute..he might not gas until the second or third minute.
anyone heard whether this is on regular showtime or showtime ppv. i checked with my satelite provider and it isnt listed as a ppv but it doesnt say on showtimes site. by the way go tank knock this mofo out. ive also heard tank is training and i dont mean two handed budweiser curls either. i think he is taking this fight personally because he probably feels he is the most badass street brawler out there
Did anyone read the Kimbo/Abbott conference call transcript? It had some memorable quotes in there - but not as much trash talk as I expected from the two. They seem to have respect for each other.
I hope Kimbo wins, though I like the both of them, I think Kimbo's the real deal, one of the best punchers the MMA has to offer IMO.
why do you keep going on about what a great puncher and great technique he has?? please show me the video..:huh
I seen a small piece they did on for that Showtime fight league, they showed it before his fight. As a amateur boxer myself, I could see he has good technique and the ability to generate power from his hips to his fist, when he throws his hooks, which have a good arc and power to them. I think Kimbos a breath of fresh air to the MMA world, with the combination of strength and punching power, he will be a force to be rekkon with for the next the couple years IMO.
Chucky wishes this was a younger version of Abott. Chucky says reports are Abott has lost 30 LBS for this fight, could be a good one.
