It was the heat of the moment. It's easy for us fans to watch a fight and talk about how the fighters feel after 30 minutes of a gruelling fight whilst sat on our arses, drinking some beer. That sort of thing happens in boxing. I don't think he really knew what the situation was or what to do, so he did the only thing he knows which is throw punches. You can't expect a fighter to immediately become rational when a fighter goes to the floor, which is why so many fighters have hit downed opponents. It happens. It doesn't prove that Abraham had already admitted defeat.

What I actually hope happens is 1) Ward's handspeed & fouling frustrate and anger AA to a never-before-seen level, 2) AA ends up testing Ward's chin with monster hooks - possible KD, and 3) Ward puts his in-fighter's ego aside and fights AA on the outside for a UD win. In that order, obviously.

I would be happy if AA last the whole 12 rounds, he propably will but it will not look pretty. Ward will be all over him.

AA got some minor punchers chance which he is not able to use being the terrible plodder he is.

I will support AA to very end but the guy has been exposed.
