huh... i could have sworn i voted for pavlik t/ko on that poll too... well either way, i think pavlik takes it as long as he's careful and doesn't let a giant, looping bomb get through (which i don't see happening).

i think taylor would too...taylor did everything but pull a ringpost out and hit him with it and pav still got up and took his straps :bbb

you know, i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that pavlik will pretty much dominate abraham for most of the fight. i just don't see king arthur winning many rounds against someone who throws so many punches (with power) with great precision and has the size advantage on him. if arthur doesn't land a bomb, i don't believe this fight will be all that competitive as long as kelly fights smart by utilizing his reach to keep AA at distance and throws like he normally does.

They can't that's why.:deal Abraham's only shot is to hope to land something big on Kelly and finish him off. If anyone is wining by UD it's Kelly not the other way around.

exactly. if kelly plays it safe, he gets a pretty easy win imo.

But don't you know; the feather fisted JT knocked Pavlik down and hurt him bad:patsch

What those **** knockers who use that logic never mention is that Kelly took 15 unanswered shots, several elbows, a head butt, and at one point JT held Pav's head down and nailed him with an upper cut. Kelly never bitched because he doesn't give a **** about getting rough, and he came out and handed Taylor an ass whoopin' in the very next round. That's when Manny Steward said; "We gotta problem.":yep

Abraham is a much bigger puncher than Taylor.

Sorry Hoya, but that means ****-all in this fight. Pavlik has trouble with lots of speed combined with power and smart movement. Arthur has one attirbute out of 3.

Yeah, fine. My point was that saying that Taylor couldn't KO Pavlik doesn't mean that Abrham can't. Both very different types of fighters, with very different attributes; power being an obvious one.
One thing I'm certain of; Abraham won't win on points.

Under the right circumstances I think Arthur could KO pretty much anybody at 160-68, with the possible exception of Andrade. The question is, can he create those circumstances against Pavlik? My answer is no, he's not capable of the kind of speed and movement the task requires.

At some point in the fight, Pavlik is certainly going to stand and trade with Abraham...

And at this point, does anyone really believe that KP can withstand Abraham's bombs?

Let's look at the only 2 guys who ever hurt KP: Jermain Taylor and Bernard Hopkins. Taylor didn't just hurt him. He had Pav stumbling around the ring like a drunken giraffe trying to skip rope backwards. Like I keep saying, BHop used his head for a speed bag for 12 rounds, and he definitely buckled Kelly's knees a couple times. Now we can look at the HOW of what happened; how did they hurt Pav. They got to him with speed and accuracy. AA has little speed and less than stellar accuracy. Guys that come after KP with brute force get out monstered, out bullied, and beat up.

This is either Pavlik by stoppage or Abraham by stoppage . . . no way it''s gonna end up in the scorecards . . . I'm picking Pavlik.
