Amazing how people say AA has sloppy hooks ... if they would pay any attention whatsoever you would see that the blow that started everything was a beautiful short straight right hand that put Miranda down the first time. After Miranda was hurt and ready to be taken out he used wide hooks but only because he could.
Yep exactly, if you box, you know that if a guy is on wobbly legs (like Miranda was) then its safe to throw wide looping shots like that because they can't counter effectively enough to hurt you.
yeah..Pavlik fight the same, same way since the Zertuche fight and didnt improve a bit defensivly..:good dumbass
Actually, Pavlik got tagged a number of times by Gary Lockett. I think it's a bit optimistic to expect Abraham not to hit him.
he was tagged, with a real good punch, 2 times, the others looks like they landed but they didnot pavlik's gloves deflect them at the last moment, i've watched that fight a lot but yeah Abraham is gonna catch Pavlik , it's sure
That shows their lack of boxing knowledge. When someone is hurt and you know that is only going to concentrate on defense and wont counter you, wide hooks are the most effective. Steve Cunningham was swinging left and right when Marco Huck was hurt and nobody will say that Steve cant box or is one dimantional.
:rofl :rofl That loudmouth ******* got his ass handed to him again. :happy :happy Time for Pavlik - Abraham. Let's Get It On!
Well Pavlik has improved since the Zertuche fight. He uses the jab more to keep his opponents in check, and his defense is sturdier and more technically sound. So it's not as easy to crack as before.
Great vid, but if he throws those wide shots against beter opposition. He may find himself in trouble.
If you noticed he only threw the real wide ones when he had Miranda hurt, Miranda was not capable of throwing a meaningful punch at the time so it was pretty safe to do so
