Very good guy,and underrated fighter. I saw nobody give him an easy decision loss except Duràn and Rivera(he also fought Rivera washed up) His style is like Arguello, but he's more into body routes,as Alexis liked to set up things with his good jab, Palomino mostly just starts slow from round 1,then around 4 or 5 he'll up the pace and mauls you with body shots, he's also ruthless with those shots. His record had some of the best contenders of his era,and he got competitive with Wilfred Benitez, something that the great Roberto Duràn cannot do(styles truly makes fights ) Could've been greater if Benitez exists in a different division,or if Duràn called it a career after he couldn't make the lightweight limit anymore.
King Carlos was always a favorite of mine. Even now in his 70's, he still looks great and still keeps up his gym regimen last I heard. Would have loved to see a unification fight with Cuevas..or how about a Carlos-Aaron Pryor slugfest?..maybe Sugar Ray Leonard?..so many possibilities.
