I'm not sure Carl was entirely super clean his entire career either.

Whether it's UKAD or USADA both have hidden contracts with many of their fighters which are regulated separately to their regular sanctioned fight testing & unlike VADA there has also been documented evidence that they give many TUE exemptions to fighters before & after them actually fighting which in itself defeats the whole purpose of stringent testing to begin with.

Very true but Canelo was over 180lbs in the ring v Khan.

 

He is/was very good but when he said he wasn't Naseem Hamed, sadly for him, he was right.

Like him or not, Hamed only lost to a Hall of Famer and despite having a suspect jaw, he always got up when down and won.

No shame to Khan, he was very good and also won a silver medal at the Olympics, where many boxers do dope and he came in second place. 34 wins and 6 losses and being a world champion is the mark of a fine boxer, not an all-time great but a great one nonetheless.

Allso, Im not defending him by any means, doping is wrong. But, only God and the respective people involved know how many of his opponents doped as well. It's like Roger Clemens and Andy Pettite as I used to observe, if the opponents are doping, in Clemens' and Pettite's cases, the batters they faced, then it's only natural that you'd want to do it too to take the opponent's perceived advantages away!

He deserves the same respect as any journeymen who steps in the ring against a vastly superior opponent knowing they are going to get a beating.

In fact he deserves less than that, he made millions vs Canelo, these journeymen who put their body on the line, don't.
