Well he deserved that belt...Mousasi's gameplan (seemed like) he wanted to test mo's stamina..to tire him early and finish him later...Only Mo kept on going (even though he had little energy left) and ironically , Mousasi's stamina betrayed him after the 3Rd or 4rth round....

Mo is a rather one dimensional fighter but he's a great wrestler no doubt. And he's got a big heart. He's been tested for the first time and proved that had the will to become champ...The fight itself was disappointing though.

Mo's got heart and pedigree but he has no stamina and he's ungroomed.

I think a rematch is in order and Mousasi totally opens up next time. Mousasi made the mistake of not caring if he was on the bottom. In America you can't stay on the bottom nomatter what you do because the rules are lead to wrestlers. Lay'n'pray is weak I think, what good is taking someone down if you don't do anything but lay there and get punched in the face?

Well, hopefully he can take it in, gain the maturity and hopefully foresight needed to improve. Stam can be worked on, he seems to be a guy who will go for it, has an entertaining attitude and the style will come along.

I am gutted that Mousasi got beat by Mo as i think hes a wanker but i must give him props.

He definetly has some heart and desire.Him getting emotional in the dressing room shows exactly how much the victory means to him.

I'm not a fan, I think he is just another wrestler with nothing but laynpray. He couldn't figure out ANYTHING to do, what did he do? He took down Mousasi and did NOTHING! How come takedowns are worth SOOOOOO much in MMA?

Im not a fan either and also get frustrated with some of the American fighters which rely mostly on their wrestling when in the cage.

I havent a problem with the fight being on the ground but for ****sake do something pro active when down there. With judges rewarding Takedowns so highly dont be surprised to see a influx of lay and pray fighters succeeding in the cage.

America needs to impliment yellow cards and stalling or get rid of the clocks and rounds. haha I want to see the old style no rounds or timelimit and have 2 weight classes, 190lbs above and below haha.

I just get frustrated seeing blokes who are fulltime pro MMA fighters not know what to do after they land the takedown.

Me too. I also think that if Mousasi wasn't punching Mo that the ref should have stood it on several occassions but that reiforces my theory that Mousasi was the one doing things from his back NOT Mo doing anything in Mousasi's gaurd. If Mousasi stopped punching the ref would have stood them up.

  14. Mousasi is great and honorable champ. It's sad to see him dethrowned by mo but when you seen stuff like this, it just makes the sport that much more interesting.

Don't think for a second Mousasi isn't coming back.

I don't know what fight you guys were watching.

Lawal landed the more significant shots standing in the first, took Mousasi down, and landed the harder shots on the ground. Mousasi did make the 1st round competitive.

Mousasi did more damage from his back in the 2nd, and I think that was the only round he won.

Lawal's shots on the ground were heavier from then on, Lawal was pressing, and Mousasi looked like he had no fight left in him. Lawal was also trying to pass Mousasi's guard during his gnp.

How anyone could think Mousasi was winning is crazy.
