Negative. Mo has had 2 fights at heavy. One against a ridiculously shot Mark Kerr. And the other against Mike Whitehead. And i dont put his wrestling credentials in the same bracket as Couture or Lesnar at all. Both Lesnar and Couture were/are accomplished grapplers. Mo was a NCAA D2 champ with a solid wrestling background nothing more or less.

Maybe, but the fact is, Toney wasn't supposed to know a damn thing about the ground game, yet he is able to compete with champions from the sport.

And that's not even CLOSE to bein his strong point.

Exactly....I think for James to have the ability to work a different disipline against a legit MMA fighter says a lot about his potential. I think James is going to surprise a lot of folks.

Well see wether Toney is able to compete in MMA when he faces Couture. Other than that im not interested in what Mo has to say as he's a reknowned trash talker.

we've seen **** all of james toney "competing with champions"

provide proof if you're gonna make sweeping statements like that, and I'm not talking about his training camp saying **** to hype him up

So you don't give Toney any chance at all to compete in MMA? Considering Toney is going after a LEGIT HW and all time great I'd say it's pretty ambitious and commendable that he's not trying to fight some creme puff like Kimbo did when he made his debut. NONE of Kimbo's oppoents are anywhere near the level of Randy. Toney is a compeitor..a fighter...he's looking for challenges and if he looses....so be it. But he's not gonna just lay down for a payday.

Toney has as much chance as Mercer did when he faced Sylvia. If thats a yardstick that you think Toney should be measured by then you have completely missed the point. This is MIXED MARTIAL ARTS. ALL the favour lays with Couture who is veteran in the sport. Toney is boxer. The two simply dont mix. If Couture was put in a boxing ring under Marquis of Queensbury he wouldnt last a few rounds. Likewise the odds are heavily stacked against Toney. The irony here is Dana White has MUCH to loose if Toney does pull off the upset. Now that id love to see.
