King Mo competed at the world level though.

Lawal was a Big 12 Champion and Division I all-American in 2003, wrestling for Oklahoma State. After his collegiate career, Lawal participated in the now defunct Real Pro Wrestling, a league with rules that closely resembled freestyle wrestling and was crowned a champion in the first and only season. Lawal eventually became a U.S. national team member in 2005, placing 7th at the World Championships in Budapest. in 2006 he was a favorite and hope to be the world champion in China, at 84kg and he lost to Andy Hrovat at the trials. From 2007–2008, Lawal was the #1 ranked wrestler in the country in the -96kg division and was considered by many to be the best amateur wrestler in the United States, regardless of weight class. Lawal was, once again, a heavy favorite to win gold at the 2008 Olympic Trials and BIG hope by many experts in the wrestling world, to win a medal at the Beijing Olympics. Lawal was upset by Andy Hrovat in the finals of the 2008 Olympic Trials in the final seven seconds of a third and deciding match

Randy has beaten some great MMA fighters. He's lost too but you don't beat ANY great fighters by being "alright". Randy quality is that he's vunerable...he takes risks and he's an over acheiver. His grit and grind allow him to do things that seem to be well outside his reach....a sign of a great champion especially when that great lacks the natrual gifts or attributes that are afforded a small percentage of any athletes in any realm of compeition.
