Ya it was mentioned in the other "King offers Lewis 25M" thread.

Why we need two threads with the same topic is a mystery to me!!

Here's what this really is about. The WBC rules dictate that if the title changes hands, the promoter of the losing fighter (Peter) gets to promote the winning fighter's (Klitschko) next fight. Since Klitschko will probably elect to do his mandatory against Gomez next, and that's a fight King can't make any money with. So he is trying to entice Klitschko into not doing that mandatory, and doing a fight King can make money on instead. But if Klitschko fights anyone other than Gomez, then he could be stripped of the title, so I dont think he will do that, no matter what King offers......

Vitali had a fair shot at a fading Lewis; he fought admirably but lost, decisively, despite what some say.

He had his chance against a fading Lewis, he doesn't deserve one against a completely shot, retired, out of shape Lewis.

Lennox will stay retired. At 43 he'd be a mere shadow of what he was. If he were Vitali's age I might feel differently about King's offer...if I were Lennox.

Lewis is too busy relaxin in Kingston Jamaica, with painted ladies and Pina Coladas to care about boxing anymore.

Wasn't the best version of Vitali. His training was not as top notch up to then and he didn't have time to properly prepare for Lennox. He developed an uppercut and better skills after that fight when his training changed. Lennox is scared to death of Vitali and has been ever since that fight..he could have made a ton of money..

King's 'offer' is a mere ploy designed to make people remember that Klitschko has an official loss to Lennox Lewis. Lewis is not coming out of retirement, and everyone knows that.

King is upset that Vitali won the fight. Don was talking big about Wlad-Sam II in Nigeria, etc. And now Don King looks like a fool. This is merely trying to distract from that reality.

The Klitschkos don't do much, if any, business with Don King. And now they rule the heavyweight division. This is a feeble attempt by King to try to steal some of Vitali's "heat." And, as most ventures King has tried with the Klitschkos, it is doomed to failure.

lewis has always despised king with a passion - one of the few fighters who actually had morals.

lewis would stuff the £25m down don kings throat till his fist came back out of his ass.

What morality is there to not dealing with King? King has ****ed people over, but he's also made them loads of money in the process. He's not a babysitter, and if people then blow that wealth, it's not on him.

    I'm going to quote Mike.
"You get promised a million, and you get 200k.. ain't that a *****?"

Lennox would never see the 25m:rofl

    You have never enough money.

Vitali's Klitschko's record is coming too close Lennox'. In a few years 80% of fans and experts will be the opinion that the Klitschkos were better than Lewis. Lewis only chance for legacy is to come out and beat at least 1 of them.

interesting, but did you know he wieghed in at the same weight on saturday as he did against Lewis, he said he had been training solely for lewis for the past year before they fought. His skills didnt improve against johnson or sanders or williams, he just fought poor opponents, and sam peter was an even poorer opponent than Williams. Williams looke dlike joe frazier in comparison to Peters performance! Vitali was 31 aginst Lewis, and Lewis was 37, i dont think you can spin it credibly to say vitali wasnt prepared, Lewis was almost 38 and 8 pounds heavier than the Tyson fight, more than a year earlier.

Vitali`s ccomeback win makes Lewis`s resume even better, now people cant say, "Who did Lewis beat?" He beat a prime, 31 year old Vitali, a guy that was so good that he came back after 4 years at age 37 and regained the title. Lewis is the god of boxing!!!!!!!!
