As insignifigant as the heavyweights are today, the news of a Kevin Johnson-Bruce Seldon fight is insignificance squared. The only news more meaningless than Johnson-Seldon would be anything about Brian Minto.
Bruce was World champion and deemed decent enough a heavyweight to face Tyson.. He may not have been a world beater but he was a solid heavyweight.. I never diss anyone who ever won a version or entered a ring at such a high level... Bum is used too flippantly... Kevin is a prospect.. I am sorry he isn't Muhammad Ali , but he is a live fighter who is in the heavyweight food chain.. No positive response........ Just leave it to those who have.. Thankyou.. and God bless..
i have heard kingpin talk **** and fight no one to back it up, Seldon olod and was that good in his prime. The best fight of 2008
KJ fought like crap against T. Smith in a fight he could have ended early if he had the guts. He has talent, but his attitude is ****.
Seldon's being used as cannon fodder for Johnson, hmm? If Johnson puts out any effort, he will starch Seldon early. The Atlantic City Express had a glass jaw in his prime, it is surely Grade A China now.
In the sense a root canal is fun? An incessant jabber against a totally washed up punching bag? What purpose does this serve for Johnson? I have more respect for Arreola, Chambers, and Witherspoon, at least they'll step up and take on a challenge.
I've always thought Johnson had the ability to be a serious player in the heavyweight division. He seems content to simply win and not neccesarily look impressive doing so. A bit frustrating at times. Seldon offers very little here, he was ko'ed by Tye Fields recently and has to be 40 years old. Johnson should win this with ease but who knows if he makes it harder than it should. Johnson needs to fight a top 10-15 guy and not the used up Seldon's of the world.
Seldon's actually cut down to his prime fighting weight from something like a decade ago after ballooning waaaay up. Impressive. Who knows, he might have a few good wins left in him.
Don`t count out Seldon, but a fight with Seldon against Kirk Johnson (which was supposed to have happen a few months back) would be more interesting. Apparently, Kirk Johnson is still training. For what, i have no idea.
atsch atsch atsch Do you guys still wear parachute pants and think they're cool? Dear God, if anyone is shot it's Bruce Seldon. It always amazes me in 2008 how some guys will hold out hope in the face of all logic. Gotta love that about boxing fans, there's always that hope for a comeback.
