Then he says "You have any balls you will accept my challenge. If not, no worries everyone over here in the U.S. already thinks you are a *****." Hell, at least people have heard of David Haye if what he says is true, outside of boxing fans no one in the States know who the **** Kevin Johnson is.

If he actually steps up his competition then maybe people would take that seriously. Barrett is a better win than any of Johnson's wins.

kingpin has potential but this statement is a "joke". kingpin has beaten absolutely no one (ok seldon who looked good for a round then fell over) and he's mocking haye's win over barrett? and b/c kingpin rarely sits on his punches, he has less power then monte also. all that said i think johnson would give haye another decent test but doubt haye needs him after the last win

If a letter this was from someone like John Ruiz you could understand as he's a proven HW but Kevin ****ing Johnson!!!

 

Funny guy, he is talking about his power but in 22 fights he knock out only 8 oponents, he has the same power as Malignaggi.....

Is this guy kidding? This is verbal diarrhea at it's worst. Look I'm a big Haye fan and will be the first to admit that he's vulnerable but this smells like Johnson's just looking for a name and a paycheck. 7 KO's Mr. Johnson, out of what 20 fights and you and experts are calling you the best American Heavyweight hopeful? Johnson may be fast and accurate but if he's not putting people to sleep with one of those fast hands it's just a matter of time before he runs into a fighter with power and skill. At that point in time I'd put money on Johnson getting KO'd.

Johnson's telling Haye to prove himself and fight someone who's worth something while Johnson has beat no one of consequence. An aged Bruce Sheldon....please! It's obvious Johnson has some boxing skill but without knockout power he's never seriously going to threaten any A level heavyweight, and that includes David Haye. Haye would walk right through Johnson's punches to land his own more powerful punches.

Anyone else find it funnny that this "letter" comes now at a time when David is looking for his next fight? Johnson's using the same ol' "blown up Cruiserweight" lines that guys where using before the Barrett fight. Sorry Kingpin but while it's true you might hit Haye quite a bit in a fight with him, those punches aren't going to do much to him. It'd be like Hatton vs. Malignaggi all over again!

I don't buy anything Johnson says and since he's a nobody in the sport I hope that Haye doesn't fight him. A win over Johnson would do nothing for Haye just as most of us said when Haye was considering a fight with Johnson. Most of us agreed Monte was a better fight. We knew it, Monte knew it, Haye knew it. It had nothing to do with fear.
