One of the best documentaries I've ever seen... a lot of rarely seen footage.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8wIyrRPn-M
In the footage of Schmeling accepting the cheers of the crowds in Germany after beating Louis...i could tell that he wasn't comfortable at all gicing the Nazi salute. Some of you might disagree with me on that, but i could tell. He was a decent man who was just a victim of circumstances in being a winner. The Nazis had their agenda, but I don't think Max was a part of that ****.
Wow, he was talented as a doc film maker too. So many things in this doc I've never seen in all my years as a boxing fan.
I was about to post this, beat me to it :good, i loved all the footage i've never seen before would be great for any highlight makers
