Kirilov is an awesome counterpuncher and Vic swings wildly all the time....There will be more countering opportunities for Kirilov in this fight than any other. I see Kirilov bloodying Vic's face before UD or a late stoppage win.
- Kirilov's last fight was a Majority draw against Cecillio Santos who is only 5'2" in height. - He was knocked down in the 8th round and lost to Luis Perez via SD in 2006. Perez has only 59 % KO percentage. The raging bull has 74 % KO percentage. - Now what do you people expect will happen? :hey
Styles make fights, thats what will happen. You forgot to mention that Kirilov also knocked down Jose Navarro...a guy with a solid chin There are many more factors that go into fights then KO percentages and hights of opponents
I like to watch Vic (amazing power and entertaining every second) , but I like Kirilov (great skill set and a great guy -I have been a long time fan). Brawl=Vic KO Boxing=Kirilov UD My gut says Vic-hope I am wrong. If anyone has a link to the fight I would be indebted!
He recovered well against Perez...and was back on the attack...his knees buckeled again in the last round but he pulled through it and won that round as well
Thanks.. really wondering about the Lopez fight though. I saw most of the Perez fight and all of Kirilov's last two fights. His chin didn't seem like a concern and he's tough as hell. But he was dropped twice by Lopez, which has me worried. Lopez has very good power though. Darchinyan's isn't much better IMO, maybe not better at all at 115. Also, Darchinyan is not a great finisher against top level fighters because of his sloppiness. Kirilov is bound to get by something big at least once in this fight, hopefully he will weather it. It also wouldn't surprise me if Kirilov drops or hurts Darchinyan. Kirilov is obviously not a puncher, but his power is better than his record indicates. He has been facing a lot of solid-chinned fighters since rising up to the world level. Darchinyan's confidence and chin hasn't been the same as it was pre-Donaire.
I don't think he really wants to fight Nonito again, I was watching that fight the other day and the size diffrence between them was very obvious from the start.
So what? You expect the guy with a 29 % knock out percentage to knockout the guy with a 74% ko rate? If there's any KO or KD it's Kirilov going down. Kirilov's only chance is to win by decission. :deal
