Well, good luck with the comeback.

But, after having been neutral on the guy and wanting to see what he could do, I really lost a lot of faith in the Ruiz performance and was actually pretty upset at the time that Lewis was going to fight him. I thought it was a waste and wanted Lewis-Wlad (until Wlad got clobbered by Sanders and we got the other Klitschko instead!)

Still, like I say, even if I'm not a fan I wish him the best.

    Johnson embarks on ring comeback
Former heavyweight contender returns after more than four years away from boxing

Former world heavyweight contender Kirk Johnson has signed to fight later this month, embarking on a comeback after more than four years out of the boxing ring.

But North Preston’s Johnson, 37, doesn’t consider it a comeback after more than 1,500 days on the shelf. As far as he’s concerned, he’s never really been that far away.

Johnson, who fought John Ruiz for the WBA heavyweight championship in Las Vegas in 2002, finalized a contract on Thursday to fight 35-year-old journeyman Douglas (Preacher Man) Robertson of Longview, Texas, on April 29 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. The six-round fight will take place not far from where Johnson trains.

Robertson should be little more than a punching bag. The southpaw is 3-23-2, but has only been stopped eight times.

Robertson is ranked #485 for heavyweights on Boxrec. I wonder why Boxrec has not posted this fight yet.:happy:happy:bbb
