Kirk Johnson at his best can beat Chambers, but Chambers can outwork him. Is Kirk Johnson still eating those doughnuts?

Does anybody know if the Butler-Chambers fight means that the talks with Johnson have been called off? Anyone else in the picture for Kirk Johnson?

    Chambers by UD over KfcJ
    KJ is damaged goods.
I don't think he will ever recover from getting beaten into the canvas by Vitali.

Chambers should go Cruiser IMO. Good skills but too small to bang with the top ten big boys.

You can't be seriousl. Kirk Johnson hasn't fought in 2.5 years. He is beyond finished.

So Chambers disposed of Butler no problem. Any upside for him to fight Johnson now? Maybe the fact that ESPN2 would televise it?

I would have to pick Chambers also. Kirk Johnson hasn't been in the ring now in a long time. It would take a lot time for him to just lose the weight I am sure he has gained to get into fighting condition.

Chalk and cheese: one's gone, the other's coming on. Kirk Johnson was the better boxer in his prime, but today Eddie Chambers is the younger, harder-working and more hungry fighter. He also has an edge in speed, since I doubt Kirk has got faster than 2004 when he looked like a useless beached whale against Vitali.

How did Chambers look last night? He'd dominate Kirk at this point.

Dudes like Eddie Chambers **** me off..
They will always shine against the usual ESPN, ShoBox comp,
but on the world level/stage they are like deer in the headlight's.

he is not strong enough for the top prime guy's...
And he is too short to win a decision by using his jab.

Vs. a past prime Kirk Johnson I'd take Eddie Chambers via WIDE UD. tho regarless of size
(What a refreshing sight it was to see Chamber's with a K.O. last night...)

They are both chronic underachievers. Neither of them has any particular style advantage. I would expect Chambers to win this one because he is younger.

eddie chambers is very skilled. he could have easily beaten povetkin had he not put his hands in his pocket the last 7 rounds. he was outclassing Povetkin the first 5 rounds.

it's clear his conditioning is very poor. he is extremely soft in the middle. he would be better even at hw if he got down to 195 or so. increased foot movement and better punch output would make him a very good hw.

in one sense though, eddie is lucky he lost to povetkin cause wlad would have put him in the morgue :yep

as for chambers-johnson, eddie should win on pts. neither guy is well-conditioned and more likely to win a pie-eating contest than a body building competition. although if sam peter is involved, it will be a battle for 2nd place :yep

Chambers fighting at cruiser, he may lose his most valuable asset.. His handspeed... Kirk had good speed.. His best fight that I can remember was probably against Savarese.. Savaarese hit him and Kirk just shook his head and right after that knocked him out.... With that said, Chambers win by decision at this point of his career..
