Why would he say to the Halifax Daily News that he was interested in a March return if he was no longer interested in fighting at all? :huh

Kirk's motivation (or lack thereof) has always been puzzling. He was extremely unlikely, it must be said, in a) the Ruiz performance, where he should have gone to the head after the warnings, but where Ruiz had no interest in boxing and should have been warned for acting, and b) the Pechanga knee dislocation, which was totally avoidable with a proper ring surface.
