Kirk Johnson vs James Toney...better reinforce the ring in case of a knockdown. Honestly at this point in his career Toney is way above fighting a Kirk Johnson type. I hope Tony Thompson is the choice because he's been more active, has more top wins to his name and is coming off a competitive (for a few rounds at least) loss to Wladimir. I wouldn't complain about it.
I think I only read one other post about this... Kirk Johnson was fat at the tail end of his fighting days. How big will he be returning from a 3 year layoff? I seriously doubt that he has taken this time off in order to get in shape. That being said, I would love to see Kirk Johnson resume his career. I would also like to get in touch with him for a phone interview for my college's newspaper. I recently did an article on Matt Skelton. Johnson sounds like a good one. If anybody has a way of getting in touch with Mr. Johnson, I would greatly appreciate it. Send me a personal message. Thank you.
Northend, do you have a way of contacting Mr. Johnson, I would love to do an bio/article on him. Thanks.
Northend would be the one to talk to,but I heard from Kirks bro and an other friend Kirk is in top shap.He stayed in the gym even when home here in Dartmouth!hope this is true.
Well, I liked following his career and I hope he does fight again soon. Like most others, I have my doubts, but Ralphie has been rerporting for more than a year that Kirk's been in good shape. Obviously, gym shape is not fight shape, but it's promising nonetheless. Here's hoping...
I think that Briggs will eventually, he has always said that he will probably fight up into his 50's because he doesn't want anybody to control his life or some nonsense like that.
If I get an interview with him I'll find out. What would everybody say a good prime weight for him would be?
