Anybody here anything on him? Fought over a year ago, but nothing since? His only real loss was against Vitali which he showed up out of shape for, and he was decently skilled heavyweight. Anyone think he would have had a chance against other title contenders in the mid 2000's? Oleg, Sam Peter, Toney, Rahman, Sanders?
just like anyone else...if you have to imply "if he was in shape and took training seriously" how good would he have been? dude had serious power....but was also seriously lazy.... another waste of talent
Yep he was pretty good but was robbed vs Ruiz, was fat as a whale vs Vitaly and suffered a dislocated knee vs Mora.....:-(
I guess he was so lazy, he didnt really care for a quick rehab and a decent comeback. From the pictures I saw he looked in decent shape in his last fight, he seemed the most skilled and had a decent chin compared to other heavies of that era. I would probably take Johnson over David Tua at that time.
