Kirkland needs to get his prior form back. He needs to take his time and get off the rust before even thinking about an Angulo fight.

His incarceration set him back, but we'll see how much soon enough.

I've always been a fan of Kirkland and I've always seen him as a guy with a short shelf life and a guy who will never be effective above 154 lbs(do to style and stature). I hope he can prove me wrong.

172 is certainly better than walking around at freaking cruiserweight! He might actually be back at 154 before to long.

Has he been keeping fit in jail?

I don't see how he could go from months and months of not doing any real boxing workouts to fighting within a few weeks of release. He should take his time to work back up to a world class fitness level imo.

I hope he does well and stays out of trouble, always been a fan of his exciting style.

Hes one of my favorite fighters and hope he can come back to form....

and yes.... Kirkland vs Angulo is a must.

But there is someone on Kirklands heels as the most ferocious and devistating 154lber around, and thats Omar Henry.....

154 is heating up and i hope they dont act like some other divisions and ***** out from eachother.

    Kirkland
    Angulo
    Henry
    Williams
    Martinez

    and others

Very good fighters and all at or near their best!

This division and the super six are whats keeping me interested in boxing right now.... everything and everyone else is pissing me off (for the most part)

^ considering Martinez recently vacated his WBC 154 belt, and is keeping his ones at Middle I think he's effectively done at Super Welter

but agree, 154 is picking up steam, and don't forget Miguel Cotto.
