I'll lay out this situation do you think if Kirkland was able to land on Vargas the way Tito did that the fight would have made it to the 12th round?
1. Oscar has an Iron Jaw 2. Tito hit much harder than Angulo or Kirkland 3. Oscar would probably beat both of them rather easily. He would jab there ****ing heads off! 4. End thread.
Oscar beats him up. Oscar ate guys like this for lunch. It was guys who were fast ad could box he had trouble with.
You must have forgot Oscar's reason for going down against B-Hop? It was "I got hit in the button" As for people who say Tito hits harder than Kirkland at 154 I call BS. No way did Tito bang as hard as Kirkland at 154. I don't see it.
At this point, I don't know where either fighters are going, so I can only write upon what is today. With that said, I think De La Hoya would opt to box Kirkland cautiously, utilizing his superior speed, and also use his legs to move out the way. Angulo; however, would attempt to put endless pressure on Oscar, and Oscar would eventually use his left hook to knock him out, but would take some punishment in return. Neither of them would be easy fights, but I can't say with authority that they are ready for the likes of Oscar. I do feel like Kirkland showed the superior boxing ability in this fight, and if he can continue to improve defensively, he will be a huge threat, and really a monster so to speak in the division. Angulo may not return the same fighter, but that doesn't mean he won't be just as dangerous. Why if he were not taught more of the boxing ability orientated by Berinstean that focuses on skill, wouldn't he improve? If anything, Angulo will learn to be more keen defensively, and he won't come foward like the terminator, but he'll evolve into the next addition that stalks intelligently and can even box if he absolutely has to. Maybe not, but I wouldn't count him out. I pray that I'm not selfish enough not to pray for him to recover, because he performed at the expense of us all, as well as Kirkland who deserves equal praise, and may God watch their step.
