I think this is brilliant for James Kirkland. He is already fighting on the hatton undercard next week and will gain massive exposure here in the UK from that. Im looking forward to seeing him win the world title.

Hes brilliant for boxing, skill aside, for pure raw action theres no one to match him at the moment.

Yeah, Kirkland has the same appeal as Haye does. Throws bombs for 3 minutes and leaves himself wide open to the incoming at the same time.

he has a higher action workrate than haye. If you watch early nigel benn fights Kirkland is very similar to Benn in his early days.

    check this out..Brilliant!

yeah, I'd say that's a good comparison, although we don't really know how good James' chin is against top contenders, and I'd say Benn's overall skillset was better.

Aye, he looks an exiiting fighter. Somewhere down the line, kirkland-angulo is gonna be a modern classic. I wouldnt get too exited about seeing him on the hatton undercard - i saw an advert today advertising the hatton fight plus a prizefighter tournament, so im guessing you might not see much of the actual undercard on the the sky broadcast. I'll be tracking down a HTTP that dare not speak its name on this board come fight night ! :D
