Kirkland vs Angulo!

Angulo in an absolute war.

 

Angulo - mid late TKO. Technically, I think Angulo is better. Kirkland would still give him a hell of a fight though.

 

Kirkland is to strong and will apply to much pressure for Angulo to handle. James by mid round ko

 

I have gone baack on forth on this one today i am picking kirkland

 

Kirkland would win by stoppage

 

Kirkland is the better of the two. In fact I would pick Julio who Kirkland just beat to beat Angulo. Kirland will beat Angulo to the punch be the busier and more aggressive fighter and win by UD or late round TKO.

 

This Kirkland seems to be really bad dude. I see Kirkland just walk Angulo down like he did to Julio. He is just too tough and has faster hands than Angulo.

 

i voted for angulo, but i think the split poll result really demonstrates that both of these guy are brimming with natural strenths that could push the fight one way or the other in an instant.

it's a fascinating match-up: angulo is probably the slightly harder hitter, but kirkland is probably physically a bit stronger in terms of raw strength and mass pressure.

angulo loads up and winds up on his big shots, slowing them down, but throws them a bit straighter and tighter than kirkland. kirkland has slightly faster hands, but throws shots a bit unevenly. both guys have balance issues and tend to let their feet follow the shot from heel to toe instead of letting natural, circular rotations maintain balance and power on the balls of the feet.

angulo comes at his guy from all angles, especially from the sides (almost raptor-like in this way) making him more unpredictable, but also putting him in danger of getting caught with the overhand left or left uppercut from a southpaw stance coming in. kirkland rolls like tidal waves, a big rising push forward, trying to culminate in a crash of big punches along the ropes, then a natural retreat to gather momentum again after catching some shots.

this one is hard to call. if i had to go with my gut, i think the difference in the fight would be angulo's harder chin. both guys take shots, and kirkland has taken shots from big punchers like julio, but he has been numerously hurt more than i have ever seen angulo hurt in his entire career to this point.

hard to say...you can make a case for either guy. the only outcome i cannot see is one that involves the judges and their scorecards.

 

Kirkland by stoppage...Angulo didn't look great against Rivera and James is stronger, faster, and hungrier than Rivera...Kirkland by KO in 10

 

Kirkland will drop Angulo by the 6th. Angulo is good and everything but Kirkland is a damn beast!!

 

Angulo also places his punches better than Kirkland and has a much better body attack. If he sticks to the body work, he has a much better chance.

I think Kirkland would win but he would have to a)get off the canvas and b)likely come from behind on the cards to do it.

 

Kirkland by stoppage. Angulo's eye brows are pretty thick. I beleive he would get cut and beatened badly. Let's see what transpires with Cintron.

I think Kirkland wins this rather easily. Angulo is just too slow to deal with Kirkland.
