Wow.... I have to admit... I was on Kirkland band wagon. I thought he had a better chin than that. A lot of upsets the last week Jesus! First Lemueix now Kirkland.
Sooo this was the guy who was Sergio Martinez's biggest threat according to Max Kellerman? Well anyway, this was my first look at the fight and I must say, even though I never thought much of Kirkland, it suprised me how easily he went down from such seemingly light punches. It you're gonna go down from punches like that then maybe you shouldn't be fighting in the ring anymore.
This will obviously sound retrospectively disingenuous but I have been saying Kirkland is **** house since day one. He hasn't faced anyone good and has still managed to get rocked in nearly every fight he has been involved in. He is supposed to be a hard as nails brawler but he has a chin that is soft as puppy ****. He's got no defence, can't cut off the ring and just basically follows his man around. If there was a competition for walking yourself into counter shots Kirkland would be the undisputed world champ
yeaaaaaa my boy nobuhiro won bro he overpowered and out boxed him inside and outside...... james kirkland was just hyped up too much
Yea, it's hard to "look right" when your getting your ass kicked all over the ring. No fluke, Kirkland had no reason to be in the ring with this much more superior fighter.
Kirkland was hurt, he was walking in pot holes. He was knocked down three times in one round, I wish Cortez had not stopped it though, then Kirkland would have been knocked out cold, right after the 3rd knock down, "if" he had been able to have gotten up.........Kirkland is a very sore loser! No why will he have any chance against Martinez..........
