LOL @ Kirkland fight nothing like Mayorga, so how can anyone say he is a watered down version. LOL.

Also it is ridiculous to say at 154 Kirkland doesn't hit as hard as Mayorga.

No doubt for me. I'm 100% certain at 154 Kirkland is a harder hitter than Trinidad.

Tito was a killer puncher but at 154 he didn't have harder punches than Kirkland.

Tito may not have had harder punches than Kirkland at 154, but his punches were MUCH sharper than Kirklands, and anyone who has fought knows the difference.

The question was who was the harder puncher or who had more power, it is clear Kirkland has more power. I'm sure anyone who has fought would rather not get hit flush by either one.

Total offense, very little regard for defense. Relies on power and a brutal attack. Other than the fact that his punches are straighter, he fights VERY much like Mayorga.

Kirkland doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as Mayorga and he's not even in the same universe of power with Tito Trinidad.

Forrest and Tito had more power than James kid.... And Mayorga was dumb enough to do it against them.

Yes Mayorga was a freak, but he doesn't hit harder that Kirkland. Honestly what has he done after scarying the **** out of Forrest. Nothing.

The 147 lbs Tito hits harder than James on his best day. Tito knocked out career long middle weights when he was just moving up.

Forrest nor Tito hit harder with more power than Kirkland at 154.

Again if Mayorga did it against Kirkland he would be a fool because he would be out.

Kirkland has better defense than Mayorga, and is nice with rolling and catching punches with his gloves, check out the Angulo fight.

Kirkland also applies his offense a a more sound manner than prime Mayorga, whose unothrodoxy in throwing his punches was what really set him apart.

Kirkland hits harder than Mayorga, it funny to even hear someone try to argue otherwise, he is bigger, stronger, faster, and throws shorter punches than Mayorga. Tito had nice power at 147, you are over rating his power at 154.

James doesn't have that kind of one punch KO power that both Vernon and Tito had. Part of it is both Tito and Vernon had far better technique....Tito had heavy hands and Forrest was a Sharp shooter.

James has thudding power....it hurts...it causes damage and eventually breaks you down. Angulo ate how many flush shots and still was able to get a one shot KO.

Vernon never had 1 punch KO power at 154. Tito was a banger at 154 but not to the magnitude of James Kirkland.

Tito and Vernon can have better technique, they still weren't as big of punchers as Kirkland at 154.

Angulo has a hell of a chin, how many flush shots did Vargas take before he was broken down by Tito at 154? I can play the same game. I can also play this one, do you think it would have taken Kirkland 12 rounds to KO Vargas if he landed as often as Tito did? You think David Reid would have made it through 12 rounds against Kirkland landing the same amount that Tito did? I dont.
