Kirkland vs Mayorga that fought Forrest who wins?

Mayorga! In the first fight he was in great condition, always got a very good chin and he was at his best against Forrest. Anyone would have had a tough fight against this version of Mayorga IMO.

 

Kirkland's brittle chin is shattered again, no question. It's ludicrous to table an alternative outcome with any degree of seriousness.

 

Trinidad was CLEARLY a bigger puncher at 154 than Kirkland.... watch the Vargas left hook in the 12th!

Mike Jones punched himself against Karass, still made it to the decision.

Kirkland survived Angulo's onslaught with his abilty to duck, slip, and ride punches and came back and gave Angulo the first KD of his career while hurting him badly, that was all Kirkland.

lol... The only one close to losing conciousness was James. And being "spent" absolutley can contribute to your ability to take punches. when your legs go....typically you end up losing if there's still too much time on the clock.

Again....James got lucky Angulo made a rookie mistake when he punched himself out. To James's credit.... he took advantage of the mistake and luckily was able to hurt a spent Angulo towards the end of the 1st round.

 

Kirkland didn't look close to losing consciousness that fight, I don't know what you were looking at.

He punched himself out, but again, it wasn't effective because Kirkland was actually slipping and catching most of the shots and even took some hard body blows and shots to the head in the progress and still managed to stay on his feet and ready to hit Angulo with some monster shots, shots which took him out the fight.

James didn't get lucky, he started the fight off backing Angulo up, Angulo knew it was going to be tough and when he thought he had Kirkland tried to finish it quickly, in a gamble, to end it before it could really start, unfortunately for him Kirkland was able to pick up some new tricks and negate his offense then take him out.

If you read my post and comprehended my statement you would have seen I said that James was "close" or Closer to going to sleep than Angulo.

All James did was cover up after the KD. He let Angulo punch himself out who was more than willing to oblige. Angulo was hoping for a stoppage based on his opponent being too hurt and unaware to defend himself or to answer back.

If you know anything about Angulo...you know his trainer is one Nacho Bernstien. A renown world class boxing trainer who has a strong emphasis on counter punching. Ever hear of Ricardo Lopez or the Marquez brothers?

Angulo's typical style is one that goes forward with no reverse. But with Nacho Angluo was working on defense and counter punching. James backing Angulo up means absolutey nothing when considering how James fell right into a counter punch by way of Angulo's fist.

James is a good fighter...he's got decent power and his best quality is his mentality. He is a fighter and he's willing to mix it up. It's also going to be his Achilles heel.

Kirkland has ZERO Chin and no skills at all. None. Ishida is a mover he is not going to stand there flat footed like Angulo did. If Kirkland fights Ishida again the result will be the same a KO in 1 round. Can't believe the hype Kirkland is getting on here. The guy is a joke.
