he is flat footed and has little head movement. I like the guy and hope he can get some things straightened out but he got hit too many times last night for my liking.

I agree for the most part. The guy gets hit way too much and doesn't even know what defense is. With that type of game plan, he will never be an "elite" fighter. A slick counter puncher would probably KO Kirkland the way he rushes in. Anyone with some countering and boxing skills will make him pay. I think he'll be one of those Gatti/Ward type fighters. Thrilling for fans to watch but never become an "elite" fighter. He'll simply lose to the best out there. But he's good for boxing.

I agree with a number of others. Kirkland is a fun fighter to watch and will be a popular top 10 contender for a few years. But he seems to have no back-up plan if his all out assault fails. When he comes across a good boxer, who can force him out of his comfort level, he could be in trouble. Overall, I like Kirkland and think he'll have some good success and be in some exciting fights but I don't think he'll ever be the top guy in his division.

I'd like to see him fight Cornelius Bundrage, that's a step up over Kirkland's recent opponents.

Angulo will administer a beating if they meet. Angulo is not as quick but better chin and more accurate punches, he would outlast Kirkland stopping him in the 4th.

It would be a great fight while it lasted though

I agree with that. Neither would take a backward step.

I agree, the fact that he is going to score or get ko'ed makes him fun to watch.

He could pull some upsets and I see him winning a world title at one point.
