I think she kinda marred the X-Men series. With her being such a big star, of course they were going to make her a big part of the story.
But i never realized that Mystique was that relevant of a character in the Marvel universe.

Now in the latest movie we will be getting a cameo by Wolverine while Mystique runs around and saves the day.

I'm not the comic geek I was in my teens, but the movies are completely inaccurate, off the top of my head the **** the movies get wrong are, Mystique didn't show up in the comics until the late 70's, the X-Men comics started in 1963, when Mystique showed up she was like 50 years old but ages well like Wolverine, she was never a kid being trained by Professor X all of that is bull****. She's the mother of Nightcrawler for God Sakes, she adopted Rogue, who is totally underutilized in the films, also she wasn't a childhood friend of Charles. She's been a villain for the majority of her time in the comics, she's also a bi***ual which they never talk about in the movies either.

I recently heard that Nightcrawler thing. Might have been with "honest trailers", or "everything wrong with...".
Also America is very prude in movies when it comes to ***uality. Certainly for a ccountry with by far the biggest pron industry in the world :!:
Bi- or **** ***uality, is just not done. Just look at the backlash Frozen got for sisterly love

The Mystique stuff is just the beginning of my quibbles with the X-Men franchise.

As far as the rest of what you wrote, that's the ironic thing about Hollywood they claim to be so liberal and pro LGBT and pro free speech, yet the moment anyone directs a movie like Tarantino or some un-PC comedy they distance themselves and treat the filmmakers like outcasts. The majority of director's or Horror and Sci-Fi are regarded as jokes, even when they're serious and incredibly talented filmmakers.

Films in the 70's and 80's were far more liberal in terms of ***uality than the films of today are, just look at slasher films for example, there was so little guilt associated with the nudity back then in the Friday The 13th and Halloween films and now anytime a woman gets naked, they almost have to camp it up and make it "funny"as a way to distance themselves and not seem like they're being exploitive in any way, there's no such such thing as actual sensuality in films anymore, **** like 50 Shades of Grey they try to pass off as ***y meanwhile it doesn't hold a candle to something like The Story Of O from France back in 75.

Also they're terrified of making a ***y lesbian movie they're afraid they'll offend the feminist lesbian contingent, who like to promote the idea that all lesbians are ugly old manly broads and they look down on movies where they "sensationalize" young hot lesbians and try to pretend like they don't exist. The only LGBT movies made in Hollywood are heavy handed PC agenda films like Carol or Freeheld of The Kids Are Alright, which are major bores.

Hollywood also likes to downplay Bi***aulity because they like promoting the all gays are born that way angle (which I agree with), but since Bi's muddy the waters and confuse middle Americans, they like to pretend they don't exist.

This country so uptight its sickening.

I think the whole Marvel universe is ****ed upside down and twice sideways, for good measure.
I kinda liked Avengers 2. Loved Iron Man I, Guardians Of The Galazy and The Incredible Hulk.
Thor I and Ant-Man were decent.

I wish there was a Hell Boy III :sad2

Yeah that was pretty badass, I love Days Of Fute Past actually, it's my favorite X-Men movie to date, even though mythology is all over the place. I'm practically :jjj over the trailer alone for Apocalypse, he's probably alongside Mister Sinister my favorite X-Men villain.
