I swear though, I can literally recite everything Trump says and everytime I watch him do an interview, I can literally guess what he's going to say with 95% accuracy.

    It's always the same thing

    "Make America great again"
"What China and Mexico is doing to us is the greatest theft in mankind's history"
"The wall just got 10 feet taller"
    "Get him out!!!"
    "Lying Ted, Lightweight Rubio"
"The Media are all scums, dirty and make up all sorts of lies"
"Every single person that attacks me has gone down!"
"I'm not controlled by the special interests, I fund my own campaign"

He will literally recite this in EVERY SPEECH HE MAKES, and it's ****ing awesome!!!

Idaho is full of country bumpkins, so it's not shocking in the least, I was expecting it to go for Cruz.

Teach me sth about American politics

I basically get the gist of it, the majority of it.

But let's say Trump does NOT reach 1237 delegates (Can the Republican party literally kick him off and go with Cruz instead?)

I suspect Trump will go independent if that's the case?

If that's the case, I can see why he did NOT make that pledge. :rofl

Trump has 446 delegates he needs 1,237 if Rubio drops out, most likely his voters will switch to Cruz, if Kasich drops out, half will go with Trump and half will go Cruz most likely. So if Cruz stays in the race and splits the delegates from here until the end of the primaries, there's a possibility that neither will have enough delegates to secure the nomination.

Best case scenario is that Trump beats the hell out of Cruz in the next few contests and his donors realize he has no chance and they stop contributing to his campaign, his funds will dry up and he'll be forced to withdraw. Unfortunately we now have Super-PAC's (Political Action Committee) who can run ads for politicians they support and can do so legally as long as they are not "officially" connected to that politicians campaign. So depending on how much the Super-PACs hate Trump they may end up funding Cruz to the convention, just to muck it up for the Donald.

If neither guy has the delegates needed to win at the convention, then they'll have a brokered convention. In theory they go into smoke filled backrooms and negotiate who's going to get what as far as the delegates go, but if a compromise can't be reached, the Republicans can just go over the candidates heads and pick who they want, which may be Cruz (who's too right wing for most Republicans, as scary as that is) or Trump (who's too left wing for most Republicans).

Or they may just end up handing the nomination to Mitt Romney.:patsch
