I was so damn close to switching to Sanchez last night, I might have to give that pick some more consideration.:think:yep

 

I've waited long enough hopefully, but if you haven't seen Star Wars The Force Awakens, these are spoilers.

I saw it a few months ago, and I watched it again now that it came out on DVD, and here's my review.

I loved Daisy Ridley as Rey, she's a solid addition to the franchise, she legitimately feels like she has the force within here, great casting choice.
Oscar Isaac is no Han Solo, he has potential, but he seems a little to flippant and post modern to fit comfortably in that world, just okay.
John Boyega was fine as the black Jedi, but he also seems to be a little bit of a fifth wheel, his character has already petered out midway through the first film.
Han Solo deserved a much better send off, it was such an unemotional anti-climatic way to kill off one of the greatest characters in cinematic history, I felt more bummed out when they killed Ned Stark in GOT's, and when the killed off Ned Stark in LOTR's, JJ Abrams totally ****ed that up.
Someone should have told Carrie Fisher to wean herself off of the ****ing Prozac before showing up for work, horrid emotionless performance literally the definition of going through the motions, no emotional connection to anything. Didn't seem to give close to a **** about Han or finding ****ing brother. Evidently Leia has an awful addiction to prescription Thorazine, maybe they can deal with that, in future films, that's the only way they can explain her dreadful performance.
Its kind of hard to take the guy who splooged on Lena Dunham's chest seriously as the next Darth Vader, he was better than I thought he'd be, but still pretty underwhelming. You would think Han and Leia would have less of a douchey looking kid, he seems more like a kid that shoots up a movie theater than a fearsome dictator that's trying to rule over a galaxy.
Snoke is awful and not imposing or creepy in the least, it felt like I was watching a full bodied Krang from the TMNT cartoons I watched as a kid, not inspiring at all.
The first hour it took right back to when I was a kid, I loved it, especially the wide shots with the massive derelict crashed space ships littering the landscape, but it started to lose me after they went to Takodana it became a routine sci-fi flick and I kind of zoned out.
Although I loved the ending with Luke finally showing up, he looks badass as Obi-Wan v2.0, but I was ****ed at how easily they found him, they spend the whole ****ing movie looking for the map, and then when they get it, they inexplicably send some scavenger with Chewbacca to find him, not his sister, C3PO and R2D2 stay behind and instead of some long ass 20 minute Lawrence Of Arabia like journey, she shows up 2 seconds later and there he ****ing is.

I thought it was okay but it lost steam in the last hour and the last two minutes weren't quite enough make up for the previous hour, although almost. ***
