Even though casual fans or new trendy assholes that jump on the bandwagon are needed to bolster ratings and drive up interest, that leads to the shows being renewed. I still hate them with a ****ing passion.

I was there sitting in front of my television for the very first episode of Game Of Thrones when it debuted on HBO, I'd done my research, I knew all of the Houses and their backstories going in, its right up my alley, I was a fanatic for Conan The Barbarian/Destroyer when I was a kid, as well as all of the badass Italian knockoffs like Ator, Deathmaster, Beastmaster, Sword And The Sorcerer, The Barbarians, Conquest, She, Barbarian Queen, Dungeonmaster, Ironmaster etc. So clearly I have some type of delusion of grandeur where I fancy myself a Barbarian.lol: That combined with the fact that I'm also a history geek, I get the show on its most integral level, all the honor, loyalty, valor etc. It really resonates with me.

So when I see some dumb 20 year old broad, or some stupid ass metro***ual guy talking about how cool this was or that was, or who their favorite is, and how its their favorite show, meanwhile I'd put money on it that they have next to no idea what's going on on the show. Casual fans no matter what genre annoy the living f*** out of me, especially the "newbies" (I even hate that word) to the Horror/Fantasy/Sci-Fi realm, that act like they're lifelong fans after watching a ****ing Guillermo Del Toro and a ****ty M. Night Shymalan film or two.:verysad

But sadly without those numbskulls watching the genres I hold dear, they wouldn't flourish the way that they do, what a catch-22 as a fan.:-(
