    Better upside?

Bute is, to this day, a bigger name/ticket seller than Jack.

Jack isn't particularly exciting and is Gambian-Swedish...not exactly a huge dollar in America...and hes 32

Whether Bute is clean or not, it does nothing to derail Jack-DeGale.
The fight was a draw that basically everyone had Jack winning.

DeGale-Jack is happening regardless of what happens with the Bute drug test.

But yeah, keep up with the silly conspiracy theories.
Not only does Haymon fix fights...he also fixes drug tests apparently

Haymon is tied in with TMT, so what Floyd wants Floyd gets. Don't be so naïve.

A draw was entirely plausible, there were a ton of very close rounds.

I'm sure this wouldn't incentivize the guys in D.C. to mess with a sample just enough to cast suspicion on Bute and make him look bad, therefore excusing Jack's less than stellar performance from him.

What next, are you going to pretend like basically every member of TMT hasn't tested positive for PED's in the past? They're clearly not above dirty tricks Limerickbox.

Its not out of the question. These guys are far from upstanding citizens.

And Bute is also tied with Haymon, which was my original point.

Actually TMT has had a number of fighters lose recently, some on close decisions.

Bute is a jobber, it is what it is, and if Floyd wanted Al or the in all likelihood dirty commission in DC to make Bute look bad, they probably would.

One guy has to win the other has to lose. Believe me promoters play favorites. Do you really think Duva was ambivalent about the outcome of Kovalev-Chilemba?

Barthemey>>>>>>>>Bey, bigger upside. And even then one judge tried to rob Rances in what was basically a shutout.

Not really. It's a higher proportion of wins to losses, but he picked more fights in general that year, and players tend to improve in terms of their ability to predict.

Yet again, Ive no idea why anyone, Haymon, Jack, Floyd, the commission etc would want to make Bute look bad.

It wasn't like he KO'd Jack and destroyed everyones plans.

He got a draw where basically everyone thought he had lost.

If he had tested clean as a whistle after the fight literally nothing would have been different.

The DeGale-Jack fight would still be next on the list.

All smirching Butes name would do is make a fighter who Haymon represents and who can still fill arenas in Canada look bad.

    It doesn't make any sense.

Did you see how upset Mayweather was after that fight, he was genuinely angry and calling for an investigation of the judges because it was a draw, although he never seems mad when its one of his guys getting the shoddy decision from the judges, I think Floyd was enraged the judges made his fighter look bad and he wanted revenge in some way, and kind of got it.

34ish losses per 100 fights one year, then in 2015 he had 50 more matches but only 9 more losses. He did better, you can't deny that.

    For sure.

Then again, I did a whole lot better in 2014 than I did in 2013, on the whole (28 less losses in roughly the same amount of fights). Some years are better than others for players-unless you're bladerunner, who finishes as the runner up every single freaking year.

A promoter getting upset when one of his guys has a bad decision against him.

Pretty much makes him like every single other promoter in the history of boxing.
