Ward MD. Literally had to flip a coin. Rooting for Kovalev though.

    Welcome back Kirk!

I'm a bit gutted that Ward won. Can't argue with the scores even if I didn't want the outcome.

It did early on. For whatever reason Kovalev started Wrastlin Ward, instead of continuing to box and control distance. Jackson even told him to stop at one point, which made Kovalev initiate even more wrestling holds. lol. Kovalev seems like one stubborn dude. While he was Wrastlin and clinching, his effective offense was zero. Ward was taking those rounds clearly.

I thought the scores were a bit generous for Kovalev. He started out strong, then decided he was going to prove he could out clinch, out wrestle, and rough Ward up, instead of continuing to use his boxing from the outside and run Ward into shots. He had a fairly big reach advantage. Wrestling doesn't win you rounds. I know JDJ had to be extremely frustrated in the corner.

*The new king, the fourth one to be exact, will be crowned when there is one person left after the dust settles in this single elimination tournament*

The fights that will determine the 4th Crowning King will be:

    --------------------------------

    - Winner of the rounds will be whoever picks the selected fights the most accurate. So tournament picks must be indicated as follows

*Winner by KO/TKO (what round): whoever picks the closer round to the actual stoppage/result will be who wins. If one person picks KO4 and the other KO5, and the fight goes the distance, the person who picked KO5 will win.

*Winner by UD: must pick either by WIDE UD (between 9-3 and 12-0 for 12-rounders and between 8-2 to 10-0 for ten-rounders) or CLOSE UD (7-5 or 8-4 in 12-rounders and 6-4 or 7-3 in 10-rounders)
If one poster picks wide and the other close, and the official decision has two judges wide and one close.... the decision is wide. If the official decision is a SD/MD, the winner would be the poster that picked close.

    *Winner by SD/MD

*If the official result is a draw, the tournament will proceed as if that fight was not a part of the tournament and will continue with the next round. A different fight will be added to 'replace' that draw/round.
