So is there any kind of general consensus on the Corrales rematch this weekend? I'd love to hear anyones thoughts on that one, feeling the itch to place a large boxing bet. :buitre:

12/30 - Ryo Matsumoto vs. Victor Uriel Lopez II - 8x3
12/30 - Akira Yaegashi vs. Wittawas Basapean - 12x3 IBF World Light Flyweight Title
12/30 - Naoya Inoue vs. Kohei Kono - 12x3 WBO World Super Flyweight Title

Matsumoto UD, Yaegashi UD, Inoue UD.

May change my pick on Matsummoto-Lopez, just to see if I can overtake blade for 3rd...But I think Ryo will be in better shape this time so that's my pick for now.

Also, Murata's fighting on the undercard, isn't he? The guy he's facing, Bruno Sandoval may not be great but he's pretty willing and aggressive, with pretty good work-rate and OK power. At the very least, this should allow Murata to showcase his skills...But it could actually turn out to be a fun fight.

No one wants to discuss any of the weekend boxing in Japan on here. Sad, have to bait people to change the topic off of cookie cutter topics in the General forum. Only thing I could do is make another thread about the more obscure matches and no one would respond to it anyway. Shame on you people. :buitre:

I saw your post, it reminded me that I've been making posts like the one I just did on several threads with no one biting, hahah. I do appreciate the post though.

It's mostly the Fuentes match. I haven't seen anyone discuss that one, even though Fuentes was just in a FOTY contender last year and Tanaka is as exciting as he is flawed.

Fuentes-Tanaka has the potential to be a strong last minute candidate for FOTY, yeah. Still uncertain as to whom I'll pick to win in the league.

Can anyone believe the top two threads for days have consistently been blizzyblizz related ones, one of them just blowing past 20 pages. Are there are greener pastures out there or is as good as it gets for boxing fans right now?

Anyway, Fuentes is so hittable himself... I scored his match against Rodriguez yesterday and he just gets hit a lot. From the inside, the outside. He seems them coming and rolls with them well, but still.

He takes them better than Tanaka anyway. He seems to magnetize punches directly to the middle of the face. Doesn't roll with them at all. I don't like it when hitters don't understand the concept of rolling under or even with landed shots.
