**** Kirk's Championship Boxing Prediction League 2016 ****

A bunch of rednecks around here are mixing in gunfire with their fireworks, I might have to go hide somewhere.

 

I have a ton of personal favorites, first and foremost of course was Smith-Fonfara, which wasn't counted here, but the fact that I picked him again to stop Hopkins and it paid off, that was immensely satisfying, the complete serenity I had going into Frampton-Santa Cruz and Mares-Cuellar and them playing out exactly the way I thought they would from the moment the matches were first being discussed was especially fulfilling. Clev stopping Braehmer and Eggington stopping Gavin were also very pleasing.

The worst upsets for me were Vasquez-Diaz, J-Rock-Charlo and Makabu-Bellew, not only because I genuinely thought they'd all win, but I'm a big fan of all 3 of them, so those losses really bummed me out, and of course Kovalev-Ward playing out exactly how I said it would in my article on here and Kovalev still getting robbed, still burns my ass up now a month and a half later, it literally enrages me.

I haven't seen nearly as many movies this year as I usually do, the election coverage screwed me up big time this year.


Oh yeah I almost forgot.....


Brexit and Trump winning, I picked those 2 as well. Those were two impressive upset wins for me.

 

Yeah I did awesomely, and probably would have won, until I sado-masochistically self sabotaged, but due to me putting all my picks up at the beginning of every month and keeping the lead until April, you all literally had to ride my coattails otherwise you would have fallen hopelessly behind, there's a reason why this was one of the most competitive years ever. Because Moparfan (initially) and I made it that way.

I look forward to you sucking it all next year, but you'll probably claim I'm cheating won't you, you crybaby.


This is not an attempt to discredit any of the guys I actually like on here.

Pinoy, you fought like a real man, I got to give you a hell of a lot of credit, you took risks unlike many on here and they paid off, almost.
