BigBone I freaking hate our two bets. I really doubt that Duddy will bring anything new to the table, where I'm pretty certain that Roach will whip Chavez to preform his best. Really cant see how Duddy will win this.

And in Fury/McDermott II I'm getting more and more nervous that McDermott will actually beat Fury. Big Mac is realizing that this is his last chance and is training very hard for this, where Fury just left his trainer (again). Fury has alot in his mouth but has shown little to nothing in the ring.

I'm not gonna take the bet back, but damn.. am getting real nervous..

Some quotes from the fighters for this weekend

    This content is protected

    Julio César Chávez, Jr.
“At first I thought to myself, ‘Could I really hack it with Freddie Roach? Could I make it?’
I did and I am a better fighter for it. He has taught me so much in our time together. I am excited, motivated and in great condition. I am going to show everyone Saturday what being in great condition really means. Duddy is a good strong fighter, however. I expect a tough fight and I am sure Duddy will fight hard.”
    Freddie Roach

”There really was an over/under line – two weeks – on how long it would take Julio to make it in our gym. The ‘over’ won easy. None of the things people warned me about him were true. He came in and worked hard. He loves to run and this morning he was the one who woke me up and said, ‘Coach, time to get up and run.’ He is such a great person to know. We are in tough against Duddy. Duddy likes to throw hard right hands and Julio tends to get hit with rights. That’s not a good combination for us. Julio had no problems sparring 12 rounds in the gym last week. He is in very good shape and if he can pressure Duddy, I think Julio has a very good chance of being the first to stop him.”
    Marco Antonio Barrera
“Adilton De Jesus is taller than me and he hits hard. It is a difficult fight but I am ready. My experience and pressure will be the difference. I have been in a lot of big fights. I still have some goals left in the sport and this fight means a lot to me.”

I wish I'd got in this earlier! Great thread.

Barrera is looking pretty old there. I hope he can still go though.

Tyson Fury-John McDermott II- Tyson Fury by UD

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs John Duddy- Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by UD

Marco Antonio Barrera vs Adialton De Jesus Marco Antonio Barrera by KO

Raul Martinez vs Gabriel Elizondo- Raul Martinez by UD

I've gota funny feeling that McDermott will upset Fury, because Fury really isn't all that good and he went 6 rounds with somebody that was 4-22-5 and not to mention I had McDermott winning the first fight, but I'll take the "safe" pick with Fury, but he will probably lose with some fair judging.

Chavez Jr with Roach will probably be a beast and Duddy isn't a good fighter at all. Easy win for Chavez Jr.

I'm going with Barrera because he is Barrera. Don't know much about De Jesus besides getting kncoked out by Gamboa....and now looking on Boxrec he's been fighting a bunch of novices and knocking them out, and then he stepped up to fight what seems to be a quality opponent and he got stopped in one. So, I'm going with MAB. MAB WAR!!!

Raul Martinez nice fighter, should handle Gabriel Elizondo who has been on a crappy roll l lately.

Damn, I didnt realise MAB overmatched his opponent so bad.... i suppose it shouldnt be on the list but it would just kinda be weird skipping a comeback fight of a legend like that, idk.... MAB will have to be TOTALLY done to lose here imo.

Gimme Fury UD, Chavez Jr. UD, Barrera UD, Martinez TKO please!

All fights are competitive this weekend, would't be surprised of one or possibly two upsets! Anyway, anyone wanna bet on the Duddy fight? I'm placing $50 on Chavez Jr!
