Wow, well good for Japan..

Hasn't been the best year for Japanese boxing. One of their most exciting prospect Satoshi Hosono started out losing to Poon in january followed by their long time champ Hasegawa and biggest star Koki Kameda. Let's hope Lee can hold on to the title and that Uchiyama can keep his winning streak.

Wow, didn't see that one coming! :shock:
Judging from the scores it was a pretty close fight, with one judge "pulling a Benoist". Or it wasn't close at all and the other 2 judges refused to see what was happening. :think

 

Yeah, quite a wild ride for Japanese boxing. It took a huge hit with Hasegawa and Koki, on the other hand, Daiki, Uchiyama and Lee all picked up a belt when few expected plus Nishioka remained the consistent guy on the Islands and now should be considered the dude at 122. And there's more to come: Hasegawa fights for the WBC FW belt, Aoh fights for the WBC SFW title and Teiken's boy Gonzalez goes for a LFlyW throne, and there's Nishioka-Munroe as well, so it's a pretty deep year for them.

Oh yeah, and one more thing: KOKI KAMEDA!!!
