    THAT OTHER GUY...ME! :smoke

Once I saw how he ****ed up Pavlik, I knew Williams was toast...I just didn't think it'd be in Rd 2...I was thinking like 6 or 7.

Williams will always fight the same damn way and I think Martinez had enough practice with tall rangy guys to nail that punch that he needed. I mean Paul looked to be on his way to be KO'd by Cintron had he not jumped out the ring. He kept getting hit with the same damn punch and Sergio knew this. I WAS a bit worried after watching the first round because his game plan didn't seem to be working, but sure enough BOOM!...clean shot...that was amazing. I don't expect Pac to fight him at 154, but I think Mayweather just might grow a pair and fight him for the simple sake of trying to ONE up Pac for his Margarito victory.

I personally think Martinez should get a rematch with Margarito and square out that loss. And then go on to fight Mayweather (Pac is simply too damn small to want to go up in weight and meet Sergio)...there's really not much for Martinez. Cotto fight at 154? That would make him some good money and a good scrap for both guys. His MW scraps are non-existent. Maybe a Pavlik rematch? Rubber match?(although I wouldnt doubt if the same thing happened again only later...Im sure Paul makes some adjustments to last a bit longer, only to be KO'd again) I'm just excited to see what the road holds for Maravilla.

    1. Yes sir, but as it turns out there are three of us.

    2. Interesting. We came to the same conclusion (stoppage in the mid-rounds) by somewhat different routes. My thinking had more to do with the fact that Williams ALWAYS fights the same way and NEVER makes adjustments. He has serious liabilities and gives up his height when he fights by leaning in and trying to volume punch his opponent to death.

    3. Bingo.

    4. Most definitely.

    5. I'd actually support this fight because I can understand Martinez wanting to avenge a loss (assuming Martinez can't get a fight with one of the Big Two).

    6. Yep, there are a lot of possibilities for him right now but really no clear path....

Yea, I would like for Martinez to fight Margarito for a shot to make up that loss early in his career.

Imo screw Margarito. I did regain alot of respect for him after the Pac fight, because of his heart. But I really dont want to see him fight Martinez. Not because the fight wont be funny, but because we already know the result. Martinez is so much bigger at this point of his career and would absolutely dance circles around Margarito. Screw a Williams rubber match and a fight with Pacquiao and Mayweather as well. Williams probably wont do better a 3rd time. Pacquiao could not even make Junior Middleweight and I agree with Martinez when he said: "It's a mismatch". And I dont want Martinez to agree to every rediculous demands from the Mayweather camp.

There are 3 fighters out there that I really hope will be Martinez's next opponent.

    1) Bute: I honestly think that Martinez easily can make 168 and I think he could give Bute ALOT of problems. Bute is yet to fight an elite fighter and he would gain alot of respect by fighting Martinez. (And even more fighting Pascal should he beat Hopkins.)

2)Sturm: Well he's been around for a long time. He's been beating alot of little known fighters. People want to see him step it up and fight better compatition, and who would be better than Martinez?

3)Pirog: He beat an american golden boy and showcased his unorthodox skills. I think this match would be sweet.

All these fights are winnable for Martinez, and all of them would look real nice on his resume imo.

    2011.. just you wait.:deal

I would actually, now having thought about it, would like to see Margarito and Williams face off and the winner gets a crack at Martinez. That seems like a nice scrap witha great end with Martinez.

Martinez SHOULD take out Sturm and truly unify all the belts. Pirog is too green. He did great against Jacobs, but Danny wasn't really ****. He merely showed promise that he clearly didn't deliver. Pirog should build up a half decent resume before going in there with Maravilla.

Bute and Martinez is a pretty INTERESTING idea. I'd love to see that fight, but I honestly feel Bute beats his ass. Bute is pretty much a far more technically sound version of Martinez. Just as fast, taller, more powerful, southpaw, pretty slick. It's not winnable in the least. If he were to pull that **** off...yea...Martinez is easily number 3 p4p.

Why do I feel you have to wait for 2011 a little longer than the rest of us? :smoke

Can we only have 4 or 5 fights in December? I'm clinching, holding, and in 4 corners offense trying to hold on to my lead.

I'm not part of the fight picks league...I'l definitely Join for shits next year though but I wanted to add my two bits on the AA Froch fight. Whenever I see a fighter going against his natural game or trying to change something about his game I know he's **** out of luck....the battle's you lose today you lost years ago and you cannot change the weapons you have right before the fight and expect to win. Froch is trying to practice keeping his gaurd high and being more defensively elussive. It looks like he had to pull out of the fight once already cause he wasn't happy with where he was at interms of improvement. Perhaps he realized then that the war had already been lost. You can't change your style for one fight and expect to be victorious. Something as fundanmental as Defense you have to spend a career mastering. Win First Fight Later or suffer the consequences....too bad for Froch because he's probably my favourite fighter but this weekend he suffers the consiquences of a lifetime of neglecting defence and gets knocked out.

Good post money as far as usually not being able to change styles quick.

look forward to having you join in a couple months for next years comp :good.

But what sucks is that I think you might be right about Froch getting beat and maybe stopped this weekend, the more I analyse this fight, the more I wonder why I am picking Froch to win this.

I have a few set reasons why I am picking him, but those are outdone by the numerous things screaming at me to pick AA in this fight.

    We will see man.....
