Ok, let's start off with the Joyi-Takayama fight (I thought I heard it was canceled, but we'll roll with it anyway) I like Joyi in this fight due to his skills, fighting at home, and Takayama isn't on his level. He is a solid fighter, but every step up fight he has lost. So, if this fight is still on, I see Joyi winning by a wide UD, basically, like what Roman Gonzalez did last year.

Robert Helenius is a hard hitter, Levin has 3 losses all of them by stoppage (including one by the greatest human being in the world Mr. SNV :smoke ). This is not a good mix. Levin is a great pick for Helenius at this stage of his career. Helenius is a young fighter and already fighting in 12 round scheduled fights. I do see Helenius stopping Levin and continuing his way up the Heavyweight food chain.

Now, we get into the juice part of Saturday night. Let's start off with the first fight on HBO. This fight I'm very interested in. Litzau is the bigger man, and he hits hard. Caballero is moving up a weightclass to 130 and is with a good fighter. Caballero is a fighter that throws lots of slapping punches that eventually wear down opponents or win by wide UD. Litzau as mentioned is naturally bigger and hits hard so it should be interesting to watch. While Litzau does hit hard Caballero has beautiful defense, nice footwork, and just basically does everything better than Litzau, except for power, still though uit should be an interesting fight and I do think Caballero will win and will evenutally stop Litzau around 8, 9, 10 somewhere around there.

Then we got, Andre Berto-Freddy Hernandez and I get the feeling people are vastly underrating Hernandez in this fight, you know, just brushing him off as "another nobody" or "a tomato can" you know the works that people around the net say. Hernandez is no pushover and Berto will have to work hard to win, and if he really wants to impress to get a shot at Pacquiao or Mayweather he will stand in there and try and get excitment and a buzz going about him which has been lacking for the past few years now. Now, obviously, Berto is the one with all the skills, he's got the better speed, better footwork, etc, but Hernandez has power and if Berto does want to take risks he will be taking a chance and risking getting KO'd himself. Also, Berto has terrible stamina and I think that will play a factor since I seriously doubt Berto is knocking out Hernandez. Berto doesn't have one punch power, and Hernandez has a good chin and he is tall. So, I would be surprised to see Berto knocking out Hernandez cold, may'be a corner stoppage or ref comes in, that may'be, but a straight up KO I doubt it. So, anyway, I think stamina will come in to play while Berto is using his speed and hitting Hernandez around round 8, 9 Hernandez will use he size and power to evenutally give Berto problems, but I don't think Hernandez will get to him and I see Berto winning on the scorecards by a fairly wide margin of 117-111.

Then, let's go to Showtime's "main event" Andre Ward-Sakio Bika. This is a solid fight, but this fight should open up the telecast. I'm a bit bummed that Showtime is showing this fight last because Froch-Abraham will be a much better and a much more competitive fight and a more excting fight. Anyway, Ward-Bika will be a good fight, Ward is going to win by a pretty wide UD, but still it should be somewhat entertaining (to some, at least) Bika is a tough cookie that gave Calzaghe and Bute somewhat tough fights. So, he should give Ward a somewhat tough fight and Ward will probably win by around 117-111, 118-110, (and of course the hometown scorecard that has already been submitted 120-105 in favor of Ward )

Ok, which one should I go with first Froch-Abraham or Marquez-Katsidis hmmm :think alright let's go with Froch-Abraham. When this fight was first announced I went Abraham by KO. Then as the week progressed I started thinking hmm, may'be Froch by UD, but nah I'm sticking with my original pick (because not sticking with my original pick last week screwed me :twisted: ) I've got Abraham by KO around round 5. Froch keeps his hands low, chin is solid-to-good, defense is well....doesn't have one one. While Abraham has a nice tight defense and has dynamite in his hands and when he throws he usually has pretty decent accuracy too which I think is one of the more underrated attributes, along with his speed. AA has very deceptive speed he is much faster than he looks. Also, the two fighters that have given AA problems is Dirrell (obviously since he lost that fight) and the first Miranda fight. Miranda was able to use his speed to not get hit by AA too many times and he looped a shot and broke his jaw, and that is the one x-factor in this fight. Can Froch get a looping shot in early and make AA think about Froch's power? We'll find out and my prediction is a 5th round stoppage by AA.

Also, just a sidenote about the AA-Froch fight. Kind of funny a few months back, basically, when the fight was first announced I had a dream that Abraham knocked out Froch in the 2nd round. Froch was laid out on the left side of the ring, so on a personal not I'll be intersted to find out if that happens.

Ok, so the last fight of this great month of November and super Saturday. Juan Manuel Marquez-Michael Katsidis. This is a guaranteed war from first round to the last round or whenever somebody gets knocked out. Juan Manuel Marquez is a powerful, beautiful counter punching machine. Michael Katsidis is a powerful, straight forward machine. I love these agression vs counter type fights. Ok, so we got JMM who we all know is still one of the best P4P boxers right now. Katsidis is an exciting fighter with an all out, warrior type mentality. How will these turn out? Well, I've been going back and forth on how this fight will turn out, and I think I will go with JMM by somewhat late stoppage. I jus think that JMM's precision wins him the fight. JMM's accuracy will cut up and eventually stop Katsidis I believe. I'm banking that JMM still has enough in him for 1 more war....I may change it though, because I can see Katsidis' big heart winning him the fight and JMM's old age and shopwarn body getting beaten in this fight. Ugh, it's a really really tough fight. Ima think about it somemore i may change my pick, but we'll see. I do know that this will be a super Saturday of boxing! :good

I think Abraham's style was pretty obvious from day one. This hurts his stock yeah, but more than Abraham being overrated I'd say Froch was very underrated, take no credit away from him! I thought AA would definitely land his murderous long left or short right Pascal had a lot of success with, but Carl learned his lesson and used his distance and ring IQ perfectly. Fantastic performance and I'm happy that he showed he's a live dog to win the whole thing.

Huge props to Froch and congrats to Kirk, you got me there buddy!

And don't forget that there's a lot of action to follow, so stay tuned!

Source? In the post interview I saw with Abraham he looked sad and disappointed sure, but he did say when asked what he would be doing against Ward something like: "I dont know as of now, but I cant go out like this."

I dont think he'll quite, unless ofcouse Sauerland will complain like the ass he is over Ward's homefield advantage (Ofcouse I too think it's bull **** he get's 4 fights in a row at home, but since he's #1 with 6 points it's stated in the rules that he has the homefield.)

YES!!! Man I needed this win after losing stupidly on the green/flores fight. That really bothered me lol.

I havnt seen the fight yet, but hear that Froch really outboxed AA pretty badly. To me personally, that is not suprising, what is suprising however is that towards the championship rounds, AA couldnt start getting to Froch and hurting him, I figured that while Froch should win, the fact that his defence is not the best, and that he can be hurt, and he was up against one of the hardest punchers 168 and down in the sport, that it was also very likely that he could find himself in hot water once AA started fighting a bit more desperatly.

Wasnt to be though and I am glad Froch gets this win. Obviously, now that Froch has beaten AA, the guy many favored to beat him, AA is now nothing special and simply a punching bag. Such is boxing when it comes to fans I suppose. Though I havnt seen the fight, glad nobody was hurt, and hopefully AA can bounce back and see some success in the future. In a tourny like this, you are bound to lose.

I would love to see AA knock out Ward, and I actually think that will be a closer fight then some might think. We will see.

It's true that fans tend to "excuse" loss's by using statements like that Kirk. Very true. But to be fair, I know Abraham is a very passive guy, who throws the minimum amount of punches.. but seriously tonight he did close to nothing. You can ask yourself then is that a props to Froch's technical smarts and ring generalship or do we have to look at Abrahams direction.

Nontheless this is a GREAT victory for Froch. I hope Abraham will be able to learn from this (I think not) and will give Ward absolute HELL in Oakland.

Quick question to you guys btw. Am thinking on puttin a sum of money on Ward to stop Bika in between round 7-12. Is that crazy or can it happen?! I dont know much about Bika. How's his chin and punch resistance??

Dang, AA didnt do much huh? (even for AA)

See and whats funny about that is AA stated himself that what he learned from the Dirrell fight is that he has to start being more active, and start putting in work earlier on in a fight :-(

Its crazy just how much fighters say they learn from certain fights, only to go back in and fight the exact same way. :think
