    Definately not happening.

On a side note, did anyone know that this is Cleverly's girlfriend:

    - Wlad vs Chisora, off?
WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has suffered an injury forcing the cancellation of Saturday’s title defense against Dereck Chisora on Saturday in Mannheim, Germany. If or when the fight will be rescheduled is not yet determined. Bernd Bönte, Managing Director of Klitschko Management Group GmbH, informed Fighnews.com that the injury “is an abdominal muscle tear two inches long.” More details will be released shortly.

    - Not a fight we are picking on but Wood beat Mundine. KO'd him in 5

Alberto Rosas vs Cristian Mijares- Cristian Mijares by SD
Nathan Cleverly vs Alejandro Lakatos- Nathan Cleverly by KO
Matthew Macklin vs Ruben Varon- Matthew Macklin by KO
Paul Smith vs James DeGale- James DeGale by UD

Rojas-Mijares will be a tough tough fight. Mijares, as most people know, nice boxer with some nice scalps on his resume Kawashima, Arce, Navarro, and Munoz. And he has lost to Darchinyan and Nehomar Cermano twice. Then we got Juan Alberto Rojas, he is a classic fights anybody, anytime typ fighter and has fought quite a bit of notable names. Omar Nino Romero, Jose Lopez, AJ Banal, Rodrigo Guerrero, Fernando Montiel, and Simphiwe Nongqyai. He is a tough as nail fighter, great chin, great power and he was finally got a World title in his last outing against Nongqyai. So, big respect for him. :good Now, how will he do against Mijares? Well, I really do think he will stop Mijares late in the fight. Mijares is old (or at least in boxing years he's old) and his power won't be able to keep Rojas off him. So, really I do thing Rojas will stop Mijares, but I'll go with the "safe" pick and take Mijares by SD.

Then we got Cleverly taking on Lakatos, and this is a step down to what he has been fighting in his last 3 or 4 fights or so, and especially a major step down when you compare this fight to his last fight against Karo Murat. Anyway, though Cleverly won't have any problems in this fight and win this fight easy by around a bit of a late stoppage.

Same situation with Matthew Macklin. Macklin is taking a major step down in competition. Ruben Varon is def not as good as his record may indicate. Major step down and Macklin won't have any problems and this fight is ending early.

Now, James DeGale is taking another step up in class and this one is a pretty big step. Paul Smith is a good opponent and will be a nice test for James DeGale. I do think DeGale will be too much for Paul Smith and eventually win by a somewhat wide UD. Still though it will be interesting to see how far James DeGale gets pushed in this fight.

Whaaaaaaat~~ that sucks! Already had everything prepared for a night only scheduled for boxing.. well I guess there's alot of other good fights on saturday.

And about Mundine.. I know it's not nice and sorry if any of you are diehard Mundine fans, but I found it quite funny that it happened concidering its no more than a week age that he called out Pacquiao and Mayweather. Even if he was KO'd by what looked like a rabbit punch.. he just had it comming..

Great write ups as usual, but why no predictions/write-ups for Mares vs Darchinyan, Khan vs Maidana, or (especially) Ortiz vs Peterson? Your predictions are highly valued by myself and others, and i/we would love to hear your predictions on the three aforementioned fights. :good

:D Yea, I'm going to do those fights on Thursday. This weekend is so big that I wanted to break up the fights into 3 posts instead of one big long post. Thank you for the kind words as well. :D
