How one fight can change the perspective of a fighter by that much... Many boxers have come back strong from a KO loss, and what I have seen from both 'till now I expect a close fight with Bute ending up on top. War Bute War Pascal War Canada :canada
I actually thought Pascal would be too much (physically) for Bute even before he lost to Froch. ...and lest we forget, Pascal himself just came off a very poor showing against Kuziemski. (and even bearing that in mind, I still pick him) I could just as well argue those picking Bute are letting a single off night change their perspective. :deal So let's not play that game.
Keep in mind that Pascal might turn into a one armed warrior. Happened at least twice, maybe even more if I don't remember them all. What did "Push-ups" Hopkins said about him ?! :think
True, and that's how Aleksy (who does have tons of heart and is easy to root for, but honestly doesn't belong on Pascal's level and shouldn't have done so well) managed to have success - but even with one arm, I can see Pascal catching Bute - using his sometimes lazy arms-down stance - with one of his leaping hooks. If that happens, I'm not sure how well Bute can take it. He isn't terrible recuperating from being hurt and might recover if left alone to do so, but like Froch jumped on him so too would Pascal smell blood and be all over him.
You think one-armed Pascal can beat Bute ?! :bart And you didn't answered my question. I hate when ppl do that.
I think he could still manage to hurt Bute if he leaps in wildly and lands a hook (which is, down to styles, more of a danger for Bute than most Pascal opponents...and more possible for Pascal to have success with than most Bute opponents trying to land on his slick leaning defense with their feet planted) From there, it becomes a question of how Bute responds to being hurt and how quickly Pascal can seize upon it... Two-armed Pascal would have a much easier time of it, but yes, I do feel the door is still open for 1-arm to do it. Your question about what Bernard said about him? I don't know what you mean. Can you be more specific? They fought twice. Are you thinking of something from one of their press conferences, post-fight interviews, or something else?
Bute was hurt badly in the 4th against Froch. I still haven't seen Bute vs. Grachev in its entirety, wasn't Denis able to buzz him a few times? It's encouraging for Bute that he went 12 with a strong natural LHW, but Grachev is also no Pascal.
