round 9, Drinquor wins it clearly 10-9 he is back in the fight only 1 point difference.
round 10, is a draw 10-10 the champ pride is kicking in.
round 11, another 10-10 draw the champ is holding tight to that title.
round 12, not a great round 10-10 again, the champ has managed to keep the 1 point lead. He retains the title.

I was rooting for Drinquor.
He got really bad picks in R5 and R6, should have gone against Caballero, who by the ducking of Viorel Simion I figured out that he isn't confident for a decent challenge but didn't thought he'll lose this one.

 

I had it 6-6 with the kd making the difference. Very close fight. Trout was very active but not very accurate. Canelo was hurting with big punches. Awesome fight.

Might as well make a rematch since Floyd is likely staying at 147.

just watched Canelo - Trout
What a shame. Trout 115-112 is my scorecard.
He dictated the pace + landed more + threw more and pressed the action in the majority of the rounds.
Canelo landed the harder quality shots.
Last week Donaire had a lot of excuses after getting schooled.
Trout after losing controversially had none.
A very classy individual for sure.
Canelo played it safe in the last 4 knewing he had the fight in the bag.
Can't blame him.
Open scoring sucks in my opinion and kills the drama and behaviour of the fighters.
