I wouldn't be able to stand it if I had to do everything in this font and color I need things highlighted, distinct and separated by colors :yep
Good news. Today was my last day at my morning job. Im keeping and increasing the hours at my day job, but not having to wake up at 3am in the morning and go straight from one job to another will be great, so I expect to have a lot more free time now.
I don't think I will be seeing this in theatre :think Saw world war z..... meh.... wasn't as bad as it could have been, to be honest. Not sure if that's saying much though
Well, I have saved up the money to start betting on boxing. I was thinking the first fight I will bet on is Pac vs Rios. I would fly into vegas for a 3 day weekend, (cost about $350 round trip) and bet heavy on Pac. The thing is, he will be such a heavy favorite (at least 3-1 I would think) that I would have to bet around $1,400 to make any profit considering my plane costs. That would be an absurd bet :nono So that pretty much makes the pac fight a pointless one to bet on. So idk... I want a good fight this year to bet on and that was gonna be the one, but having to compensate for my plane ticket really takes any profit I would make away.
Oh, I understand the need, but I do avoid clicking on this flamboyant rainbow extravaganza whenever possible (at least when on the clock)...no offense. :!: In fact, I think I've missed out putting in weekly picks often times because of thinking "Oh, I'll just do 'em at home..." and never making good on the procrastination.
you should not start betting on sports, if you aren't very good at it. I use to bet small amounts on lots of games, boxing/football(soccer)/Tennis/Rugby/Ski Jumping etc. Was betting mostly because it makes the games to have a stake and be more exiting, and you'd win 20 time or more the amount you were betting. I was winning only when I knew stuff like, that tennis player is best on clay and his serve was efficient in his last two games, while the other is good on hard and not that good on clay. Or things like the best striker of the away team is in a poor shape and the home team has a good form at home allowing very few goals.
I hear you, but I feel confident betting on boxing to be honest. If I failed then meh.... then I know. But I think I could make money every other month or so on the right fights.
There's no such thing as "very good at it". Sports are by nature unpredictable. (real sports other than WWE - anywhere the competition is unscripted :nut) You can rack up a prediction/betting record of 999-0 and get burned on number one thousand. All it takes is lumping big or all-in on a 'sure thing' only to have it blow up in your face, just once... Conversely, you can know quite a bit more about sports than someone who routinely places safe little bets on favorites and little by little sees profits trickle in and yet have a worse betting/prediction record - even a very spotty record - because you are more willing to make a stand on tough calls rather than cherry pick. Knowing which ones are generally safe takes no special knowledge, just a passing familiarity with the principals and some common sense. How well you predict or bet on pick 'em matches - in boxing or anything else - is dumb luck as with all gambling. Competition is inherently chaotic, especially at the highest levels. You can do all the analysis and breakdowns you want; nobody on earth can foresee all the random twists and turns you find in sports, and most especially in boxing.
I think with a good ability to pick fights, and a good betting system in place, someone could do ok betting on boxing. Just imo, we will see though.
If you're always careful & picky and don't get too greedy with your amount risked, yeah, over a long period you could pad up your wallet a bit. Beyond that it's as much a crap shoot as - well, a crap shoot in a casino. :yep Consistently making a living off betting on boxing - no. There is nobody alive who can safely do that long-term as their main source of income unless they're independently or inherently wealthy to begin with. (so they'll always have a replenishment of funds in case they go belly-up...which is going to happen sooner or later if you don't cherry pick and keep your wagers small)
The few very successful folks I saw winning big amount of cash every time the had a system build, teams that they had faith in that weekend, team that they feel a surprise is likely to happen even if they are heavy favorites and teams that they feel comfortable on taking a risk on. And they keep mixing those teams on a system on multiple betting thickets. Most of the times making money by only winning one of all those thickets.
That is still risky, and their success is as much (if not more) attributable to luck than whatever system they have. Their belief in their personal system might honestly just be superstition.
