Yeah, I think I might give a little write up on both fights. :Yep

Matthysse-Garcia has been a tough fight for me to envision though. I think it's going to be an absolute war, but I'm not sure who will come out on top. Garcia is a tough kid and it's tough to see him getting stopped....and then The Machine is an absolute beast and I can't see him getting stopped, but this fight should be a brutal war so it's tough to see this going to the cards.

    I don't know, I really can't wait for Matthysse-Garcia. That's going to be fun.

:yep Trust me, mine drops at every thought of it too lol.

Im with you on that one. Though Im more caught on how the fight will end, moreso then who.

Garcia is tough and has one hell of a chin. Being undefeated, in his prime, and a good fighter, its hard to see him getting stopped early like so many are saying. However, at the same time, hes not exactly elusive. And its hard to envision anyone who is either not going to be elusive, or not going to try and tie Lucas up every chance they get, or have good combination punching to keep lucas at bay, lasting the distance.

So idk.... I just have a hard time seeing if this fight gets stopped or goes the distance.

I went Lucas TKO10 because I figure that Lucas will be able to break him down near the end, after Garcia has taken some bombs along the way (I expect Garcia to earn peoples respect in his efforts), and that old man angel will throw in the towel rather then see his young son get pummeled.

But if this goes the distance it will not surprise me one bit. As hard as it is for me to envision any 140lber take Lucas's onslaught for 12 rounds, its also hard for me to see a young, primed fighter with a good chin and good power of his own, with no stamina problems, getting stopped as well. But Im thinking its 60/40 in favor of a Lucas stoppage, and that stoppage will come late imo.

Hey, you know what? I don't think there's any reason for me to do a write up. I think you did a hell of a job and I don't really think my thoughts would differ too much. :yep Kirk's thoughts are my thoughts for not fights. :yep :good

But still a little :| at the thought of no dan write up. :yep

Man I cant wait for this weekend though. I think for me personally this is the most anticipated boxing event (or any sporting even that I can think of) of the year for me. Wish I could fall asleep right now and wake up in 4 days n ready for the fight lol.

I'm excited for the fight too, and honestly - while I do think Canelo has a very good chance here, I'm not overly confident in this pick.

I think Mayweather UD is the safest call, and with the exception of the Mosley fight, I haven't picked against Mayweather in an extremely long time. I think Canelo's timing and patience can serve him well in this particular fight. In other words, I think Alvarez will be capable of doing something most unexpected during a stretch where Floyd appears to be coasting.

    We'll see.

My birthday is only 5 days after yours.

38.... a buddy of mine is 37 yet seems 27. Another one is 36 but seems 46. I suppose it comes down to mindset and how you live and have lived life as to how you feel in your late 30's.

1 - Who do you think will Win?

2 - Who are you rooting for?

3 - Do you think someone will get wobbled or dropped? If so, who?

4 - Do you think someone will get stopped? If so, who?

Late to see this, but with Italy :nono

And so it ended up being. Holland Italy. We meet Italy next. If we win and Bulgaria lose points to Armenia, we suddenly be in second place.
