Peoples Championship Challenge:
Kirk (Cano) vs Drinquor (Theophane)

 

Canelo looked better than expected. After every fight there's always some sort of revisionist history, but if Floyd does dominate Canelo major props to him. This would truly be a great scalp. This is a lot like the Mosley fight. Nobody thought he'd fight Mosley, but he did. He ended up fighting him and dominating him. Then you get all the people, "Well, you know, Mosley was old and..." Yada, yada, yada. Nobody thought Floyd would fight Canelo, but he is and we'll see what happens. This should be a tough, tense filled fight. A lot of tension and not much to separate them round after round after round. I can't wait this should be fun.

 

So Canelo made 152. Now hope he bulks up to around 172 and we have a real fight on our hands.
I think it's needed for this fight to be competitive for both Alvarez and Floyd's near future. As Alvarez will always be remembered by how he performed in this bout and Floyd to keep selling PPV's for his next fight in wich the opponents probably aren't near Canelo (maybe if he fights Matthysse).
