Damn that was a real impressive performance. I think Cotto should do his damndest to get a rematch with Trout. I think the Cotto that came out versus D-Rod does roughly the same thing to Trout. And if that does happen, If he destroys Trout, why not a rematch with Floyd? There's nobody else around (besides Lara who probably beats Floyd, but everybody pretends that he's not there) and if Floyd isn't going to move up to 160, I think a rematch with Cotto is the best option. Fighting Khan or Garcia or whoever else that's just a waste of time, really.

It would not look the same as last time with the new Roached-up Cotto.

...and I just got through saying essentially this, except I don't think he needs to destroy a Trout in order to deserve it. Lara, Molina, etc., the rest of the junior middle field, simply don't have the resume or brand presence to be viable dance partners. I would have absolutely no problem with Mayweather vs. Cotto II, especially where they're both now with different trainers and using different style (in both cases almost vintages, like how it would've looked if they met when everyone wanted it).
