When I was little that used to confound me! :yep ...and when I learned what the NSDAP stood for while still quite young (always was a history buff) - the "nazionalsocialziche Deutch arbeiter partei" I was shocked that all the nice people in the long triangular bonnets with their chocolate and windmills could be the ones behind the founding of the Nazi regime. :-(

 

Funny thing is, Dutch is actually a term English speaking countries use. I think I know where it comes from though.
Dietsch (very close to Deutsch) was used as a term in the ye olde times for our Germanic (yes we are related to the Germans ) race. Even the word Duits has been used wich in our language litterally means German/Deutsch.

All very confusing. But until somewhere in the mid 90's the Germans were hated over here because of the war.

We had two 1-1 draws with Bulgaria btw.

This 6-0 win and the Italy match was a great way to end the qualification though. Also, Many less experienced guys got to play today.

Many less experienced guys got to play today, and did very well. and its never bad to win 6-0. Almost exactly 12 years ago, Denmark won 6-0 against Iceland in the last Qualification game for the 2002 World Cup. Difference is, that the result meant qualification back then :!:
