dang david sounds like you have a badass fight collection! nice! I don't think theres a real easy way to do it to be honest. No worries though. Hey David, if you have time and don't mind, could you remind me again how you became a boxing fan? Did your dad like boxing?
Because there was one group (Spains) with only five teams in it Iam against pre-qual, as the small nations can only learn by playing against the better teams, though I do think it is hard to see what San Marino is learning :!: Not the first time they concede +50 goals, and their average is probably around 35-40.
Yeah, it aired on Versus (predecessor to NBC Sports). That was a good fight, basically your classic Mexican brawl in the beginning, favoring Salido as he imposed his strength, before Cruz started to outsmart him and spring traps with body and head counter hooks every time Salido pressed in with that patented "big sloppy overhand right" of his. Cruz even figured out how to keep some of those from landing, with the left arm moving like a windshield-wiper over his face in between hooks. When Salido did land, Cruz had to rely on his EXCELLENT chin...as did Salido himself when he ate Cruz's fully-loaded blindside hooks to his face. Cruz deserved it. He figured out how to best turn Salido's aggression on him, like a judoka or matador. The result did create a bit of mild controversy, mostly territorial chirping between Northern Mexicans and Southern Mexicans, with the former and especially those from Salido's home state of Sonora arguing that he did more than enough by constantly moving forward while the latter and especially those from Cruz's home state of Chiapas argued that he outfought Salido by incorporating more intelligent boxing while still also participating in some violent two-way exchanges in the pocket. :conf If you listen to either group it should've been wider for their guy. The scoring range was about right as it was. Draw or 7-5 either way. Salido had a great start but Cruz bossed it late. There really isn't anything too strange about it. Cruz - like Salido himself - is very solid and his record does him no justice. Or at least, that was still the case back in '08. Now he's a bit too old for this ****, while Siri is still chugging along and doing well. Besides, in the rematch Salido thoroughly *****-smacked him. It's a shame we never got Salido vs. Cruz III. Versus used to use it as their go-to "filler" material when they had technical difficulties on later broadcasts. I have absolutely no idea why it never got uploaded anywhere. :huh It was nationally televised, in the Youtube age. Hell, some of the undercard is even up on YT.
I'll say this for Cruz - he is still putting on some gutsy displays while continuously entering into battle with young lions, and he does even have some vintage moments here and there (giving Miguel Berchelt some problems before suffering a very premature stoppage while he was on his feet and throwing back, although it did come on the heels of him getting dropped by a huge shot moments earlier) but there is simply too many years' worth of wear and tear on his chin and he can't absorb those bombs like he used to. Javier Fortuna put him to sleep, and he woke up a bloody mess. He would be KTFO by Warlando today. He should hang 'em up if he can afford to.
Damn, thank you IB!!! Sounds like a case of the matador being able to tame the bull for a spell. At least Salido was able to avenge the L in their rematch I suppose. Thank you for the post, broke it down very well.
Mthalane - Olteanu has been cancelled. Olteanu injured a hand in training. Mthalane hopes to fight a voluntary in December, and then get a better purse for his mandatory against Olteanu. Was only going to recieve 8500 USD.
nature made me a natural ground fighter got a black belt in judo and my core strength in my shoulders for such a little guy at 5 feet 8 is immense it's strange to explain really,my arms are very weak but i can easily till 100 kg upstairs went to a boxing match around 87 i believe when a very young teenager it was the wba superfeatherweight championship of the world between our beloved Renard and Esparagozza the atmosphere blood and sweat of the fighters captivated me immediately and there started my passion from that moment i felt it was my destiny to become a legend and future HOF'er started training and it became clear i couldn't punch and couldn't take shots to the body i just wasn't made for it,only excelled a bit in cross-country running at 53 kg even though i personally suck in boxing it will be the number 1 sport in my eyes forever my father is a special case, fought in the french legion for years and also got a black belt in judo and was a goalkeeper forr Racing Jet Bruxelles would never trouble someone but when being harassed i become very badly tempered ,guess that's a liitle bit of the genes that my dad gave me

Also, Green weighed six lbs over the limit for the fight with Caparello, and looks fleshy. Fight will still go on, but the title will only be on the line for Caparello. I change to Caparello by UD.
