    the most premature stoppage i ever saw
    congrats to Froch
    for his great chin heart and condition
    could have been on his way to victory
    after getting a beating early
    Groves boxed beautifully
    and no doubt will become a new British star
    the ref should have let it go on a little longer
    now
    we all have a dirty taste in our mouth

    This is boxing and what seems to be a frequent statement: The fight was great, but controversy in the end took some of the luster off. The old turd in the punch bowl. Which is really unfortunate because I believe it would have been just another fantastic come-from-behind victory by Froch (or that's what it would be perceived. Little did we know the judges were seeing the fight a different way.) but Howard Foster ruined that chance. He took that away from Froch...and on the other hand, he took it away from Groves as well to survive, fight back, and win the championship rounds. And, of course, he took that chance away from us, the fans. We could have seen a memorable fight that we would have talked about for years. Unfortunate situation, a situation in which nobody won.

    Looking forward, let's have a rematch, but just make sure an American is reffing the fight. Or, at least, no British refs.

    To me, very little in this sport is worse then when two warriors create a beautiful, great fight, and it gets tarnished by some piece of **** putting his imprint on it via either corruption or incompetence.

    Good to hear Pinoy! My father is heading there in 10 days.... I hope the rebuilding process can be swift and successful.

    Its kinda funny.... I was on my way to run some errands I have to do before the Pac vs Rios fight get together tonight, (which is why I missed Froch vs Groves) but Im in the parking lot of a gas station and figured Id check in to IB's round by round n see whats up. After round 1, I wind up not being able to take my eyes off my phone, going post by post.

    So here I am, in america, at a gas station, on my phone for Froch vs Groves round by round for like a half an hour :lol: Afterwards I was all pumped (also disapointed at the seemingly dirty end)

    Cant wait to catch it on youtube

    It was not that bad is what I thought at first. Groves was taking big flush shots and stumbling around a bit. But then again he tried to defend himself and fought back. You can add to that his his huge lead on the cards and it was a horrible stppage indeed.

    It did feel like Froch was going to take it but who knows? He definitely showed that he could have won.
