    Rosado kinda reminds me of the new Gatti... in that he is almost cheered for how he loses fights right below the championship level. I dont think Rosado is in a bad spot in the sport to be honest, in terms of paydays. He draws, hes popular, and hes a 'safe' opponent that I think will continue to get these type of big fights.


    But the real question for team Rosado is, should he continue fighting?

    I know its an extreme question but really.... the guy has shown that hes just below the world class level, and hes a guy in the sport to fight the best and become a champion. Unfortunately he takes a lot of punishment.... and guys like him wind up getting put through the blender against murderers row because they take what they can get.

    So, having had a pretty succesful career, made good money, seen how he stacks up with the top tiers of the sport he loves (more succesful then most who will ever lace up a glove) why jeapordise the rest of his life? He takes some serious beatings, that are going to take a serious toll on him. Why not be proud of what hes done and move on to the next chapters of his young life?

    I know thats an extreme stance but sometimes I just feel that these young guys who arent going to be champions and build legacies, who have made money and shown that they are true warriors, but take heaps of punishments in their fights, should be proud to hang em up sooner rather then later. Idk.


    If he continues, which Id be shocked if he didnt, theres still many good fights out there for him.

    Angulo (should angulo choose to continue) (Angulo is past it, but would be a good opponent for a comebacking Rosado. An 'easy' fight against someone who beat him early in his career)

    But if I was his team Id do everything I could to secure Angulo next. Its an HBO fight, avenging a loss, but probably an easier fight for Rosado compared to what hes been facing lately.

    The division isn't filled with a bunch of 'great' fighters but really, as usual I think theres lots of real awesome matchups to be made. Its just making the fights is the issue.


    Lemieux vs

    Stevens
    Taylor
    Jacobs
    Cotto

    and obviously the fight everyone will be pushing for next, Golovkin.


    All are awesome matchups and would be exciting to see.


    Im still not sold on him as a top tier fighter though. He has improved, indeed.... but I still think I see how he can be very vulnerable to the right opponent (as is every fighter I suppose)

    anyways, nice win for DL, respect to Rosado for being the warrior he is, that round where he roared at DL had me on my feet :lol:


    I cant wait to see where either guy goes from here.
